I love exposing my kids to Greek myths - especially since they were a love of mine growing up. And we absolutely love this series (Brave & Brilliant Girls) from Usborne. I think this book, more than the others, is for older readers / listeners. I felt like some of the stories went over my kids' heads or were a bit too violent / romantic for them (the kids are 5 & 7). I think that 9+ might be a better demographic for this book in particular. The others in the series have been right in our wheelhouse (with the 7 year old, at least, though my 5 yo has also enjoyed them).

The book itself was great. I liked the format and illustrations. The stories, though, just do not hold up well and it wasn't a very enjoyable read for me. I'm glad I know more Greek myths, but ugh Gods are ridiculous! If you're looking for relevant stories for girls, this is not something I'd recommend.
