Book #3 of the Lesson Series They say that third times a charm, but that couldn't be further from the truth for Ginny. In her latest adventure as a modern day woman trapped inside the body of a romance novel heroine, she finds herself in the late 19th century, on the frontier of America. In this body, Ginny has no memories from her heroine, forcing her to think on her feet and charm her newest hero, Colby Miller. Colby is a rancher, forced to care for his siblings after a tragic accident took the lives of his parents. Bitter and angry, Colby doesn't make it easy for Ginny to love him. Can the pair come to an understanding and fall in love? Or will Colby's bad attitude drive Ginny away before she can get her happy ending?
I started writing fiction at the age of 12 for my friends. Of course, in those days, I was the heroine, saving dashing rock stars from their ruin. Now, somewhat older, hopefully wiser, I decided to finally put down my ideas on paper and write about a heroine not unlike myself (personality wise, certainly not realistically).
After finding my own soulmate (which is just another word for the only man willing to live with me), and having two beautiful children, I'm changing my stay-at-home mom status to part-time author. Which isn't to say that my days are not still filled with laundry and dishes, but I've also added writing.
I have many plans for my heroine, Ginny. She will meet matchmakers, pirates, cowboys and maybe a vampire or two. If I've read it in a romance novel, you can bet, Ginny will live it in an upcoming novel.
Thank you for all the support from my family and friends. Without my overly encouraging husband, none of these books would have been written. And I really appreciate my fellow neighborhood mommies. They make the best editors in the world.
The title says it all with this one. Ginny really needed patience with Colby. He started out as a very unreasonable, unlikeable character, then did a complete 180 a little more than halfway through the book. I liked him then. It didn't hurt that I kept seeing him as Brad Pitt's character in Thelma & Louise. Mmmm. In the end, they made a great couple, and it was heartbrteaking that she fell in love with him and his family and then had to leave them. I am a little confused about how they will live happily ever after when Ginny moves on. In this book, she inhabits the body of a spoiled brat. I am assuming since Ginny has her memories, she will have Ginny's, but I think she will probably still be a brat. I wouldn't think she would like her new life. Oh well, I am just going to say that Ginny is changing both the hero and the heroine in these stories. This is is a fun series, and I'm entertained.

This book also tested my patience, especially to Colby, which acted like a real jerk almost half the book. The story is more than halfway when the he realizes his mistakes and falls in love with Ginny. I'm sorry that Ginny really falls in love this time and almost forget fantasy to reality. And will have to leave when all is done.
There is only one sex scene at this story that makes me not content with it. This book is concerned more with the emotional aspect of a story, on relationships and family, unlike the other books that is more on passion between h/H. Anyway this is an enjoyable read.
A lesson in patience is exactly what Ginny gets in this novel. It's all about waiting. She expects things to go a certain way, as she is brought out to the frontier and married to a stranger. The stranger doesn't really want a wife; he's bitter about his life and just wants someone a governess to take care of his younger siblings. When the switch is flipped, he and Ginny are forced to wait to consummate their relationship, and then again as they wait for their HEA and the resolution of the dangerous situation. Other characters also have to wait for their relationships to evolve and ripen into love. A good lesson about not getting what you want exactly when you want it.
I’m really feeling for Ginny and how she keeps making these connections with people and leaving them 😭
He was a bad MC though like such a child I swear the guys just continually get worse ahahaha I’ve no idea how she keeps forgiving them. I’ve yet to read a book in this series where I think the two MCs are perfect for each other
This book has tension and action, it was a slow burn, found family, amnesia, and it’s a well written historical romance
I really enjoyed it and would recommend (you definitely need to read from book 1 though to appreciate the connected stories)

A profound romance. An odd description to apply to a romance, but one that is oddly accurate. Ms. Connors continues to create remarkable worlds for her stunningly heroic heroine. Truly touching lessons within every story. I was really torn at the end of this story knowing it had to end, and wanting this ending since it is what has to happen in order to begin the next story, but craving that this would be the "real" and final happily ever after for this worthy heroine.
This book in the series was one of my favorites. It was more than a romantic novel as it dealt with themes not abundant in the other lessons. Educational theories are explored as well as bigotry take up a great deal of Ginny's new life. I loved watching Colby's personality change as he falls for his new wife. The twist of Ginny's amnesia and her memory returning was just a final plot line that added to my enjoyment.
I absolutely LOVED this series! I loved how much history was wrapped up into each book. They are easy reads and I found myself laughing quite a lot!! Great story lines and I can't wait till the next book comes out!
This book wasn't my favorite so far in the lesson series by Connors. I just couldn't connect with Colby. I liked Ginny and the other characters but the story just was okay for me.
It is so hard to choose.... but I honestly think that Colby was my favorite! He was such a tough nut to crack, and she had to put in so much work that I was legit super sad when she jumped again!
Great Book!! Book 3 or 9. This time Ginny had more patience then I did with her hero, Colby. There were few times in the book I would have kids Colby's butt!!
