Janda is a Sleepy Hollow Hunter out to get the Headless Horseman. Along with Alex they are on his trail and danger happens. Alex sacrifices himself to save her, but she will get her revenge to save Alex. A totally different version of this classic story and very enjoyable. Received a free copy.

I am loving these short stories that grab you from the start, twist you up and entertain you through the whole story. Dropping little bombshells here and there as you become fully invested in Janda, Alex, MUtthers, Sebastian and their world. This is a fast paced short story that delivers. The ending is a semi resolution, but not a HEA. More to come and I am so on bored with that. The world building is fantastic, the characters are intriguing and shadowy in their own right. Brimstone released in November 2017. I received this as an arc through StoryOrigin. The third book was released in Dec of last year, 2022. I am guessing here the author wanted to make sure the world was aware of book 1 and 2. I agree 100% Go grab book 1 its only 99cents, (Bounty Huntress,Hotel Paranormal - Sleepy Hollow Book 1) and this book - Brimstone (Sleep Hollow Hunter Book 2) . Delight and entertain yourself. Sleepy Hollow New York is a vivid place steeped in history and myths.
I have been there during the week if Halloween, when Horseman actors ride, and other things moved through the shadows and the fog when one actor was delayed by a thrown horseshoe
In Brimstone a Lykoi is a hybrid Hunter, trying to prevent their Horseman from having free reign of the Underworld and topside.
many surprises await her in the ashes and the shadows
a drama and action packed series with more that one stymied romance and perplexing local and family connections

Loved book one so couldn’t wait to dive into book two and it did not disappoint! A quick, fast paced, read that draws us back to Sleepy hollow and our fantastic characters. This time our adventures take us to the underworld where Alex finds himself stuck after sacrificing himself to save Janda. Of course that just makes Janda and co even more determined to solve the mystery and get Alex back or die trying. World building is amazing, storyline is exciting and thrilling and I am loving this series!

Fates and Fortune Collide
Having been on haunted cemetery tours in Sleepy Hollow, this was a really fun read! The intertwining of each character's fate as the series progresses makes these books un-put-downable. I love the new lore behind the Headless Horseman and the allurement of strings being pulled by yet discovered Underworld demons. Janda and Alex's adventures just keep getting better! While their fortunes seem to be lacking, what will their fates decide?

Nice sequel
There's a thing in writing called bad sequel syndrome. This book does not suffer from that. I'm glad to see that Janda is clearly washing her clothes more. I still don't know what to make of her impossible genetics. Fortunately, the story is so good that I don't obsess over it. Time to start Book 3!

Brimstone by Sheri Queen is a wonderful paranormal fantasy. Brimstone the second book in Sleepy Hollow Hunter ( Hotel Paranormal) series. The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, engaging, and more. After an attack Janda and Alex are in the underworld.

Thus book was a intense page turner. The characters were brave and fierce. Thus author did not disappoint. Cannot wait to read more.

Great for fans of headless horseman stories and paranormal mystery/romance. This is a fast-paced short story that delivers. This was a really fun read. Janda and Alex's adventures just keep getting better. Time to start Book 3!.
