A LOVE--
Passionate and real--Rising from a world of heartbreak and sin. . .

As a glamorous and successful fashion photographer, adored by the trendmakers of New York and Paris, Brett Larsen excels at capturing the beauty of the world and it's people. But just beneath the glittering surface Brett is plagued by the shocking events that changed her young life.

As a child Brett saw her stepfather shoot the lover of her alluring, willful mother. Now an heir to both wealth and tragedy, Brett ardently pursues the happiness that comes so easily to her friends, yet always elludes her. Until one special friend from her fragmented childhood comes back into her life.

Her passion ignited by a pent-up hunger, her satisfaction denied by the scars of misfortune, Brett must face one final moment of shocking peril and uncover a bitterly guarded family secret - before her struggling heart can at long last open to love.

Great book! This first collaboration, by Virginia Deberry and Donna Grant, tells the story of dear beautiful Brett Larsen living a glamorous, successful life with a great career....BUT longing for a loving relationship with her mom, a question mark about her dad, a strained weird relationship with her grandfather, and a longing for a family she can call her own.

this read did not feel like a grant/deberry work. it is nice to see how they began and how their work has progressed over the years.
