I'm an author and an intuitive, writing primarily about tarot, creativity and manifesting. My latest project, HBO's Game of Thrones Tarot, was published in March 2018, along with The Ultimate Guide to Divination in April. I practise and teach tarot at Psychic Sisters within Selfridges, London; Crystal Moon Emporium in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear; and privately, via Skype. This August, 3-5, I teach at The Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York.
My background is in illustrated book publishing, commissioning authors (so I know what it's iike to be on both sides of the industry); and I co-edited Kindred Spirit magazine for a year or two. I've also worked as a copy-writer for publishers and the BBC, and work as a ghostwriter.
I hope you enjoy my books and I look forward to hearing from you.
This is a quite generic book of divination techniques that covers basics of palmistry, tea leaves, tarot, runes, etc. I’m not a big believer in these things to begin with (although I’ve studied them extensively) but I at least want the author to introduce herself and tell how she got into this and what makes her qualified. Instead, this was all presented like a well illustrated car manual. This is the sort of information you can pick up in a check out line. It’s absolutely fine for what it is, but don’t expect to develop any sort of true abilities here.
I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.
I just reviewed Divination for Beginners by Liz Dean. Thanks to Netgalley for an e copy. I was not sure what to expect in this book and anticipated a very fluffy overview of the multiple divination techniques, this is definitely not the case! This book is well written with multiple solid examples of how to make use of each of the modalities as well as some space clearing to set the scene mentally and physically before embarking on using divination. I was pleasantly impressed and have now added the book to my kindle collection.
This is a very short, very basic book introducing the reader to several kinds of divination. The author covers everything from crystals to runes to palmistry to tarot to crystal balls. There is even an explanation about how to get the materials you need and how to care for your equipment. As someone who was honestly just curious, I appreciated this bare bones approach. Thanks to NetGalley
