Yes....this awesome book when delivered did come wrapped in a Sheer Stocking ! How hot is that? This is my favorite of his Books as far as the Photos are concerned. Like I said in my review of his other book...... Elmer Batters is my Hero ! I'm a huge fan of the old school Pinup Photography, but Elmer was the Pioneer of Foot Photography. I'm sure he was the First Photographer ever to focus on the pretty feet of girls. Looking at his Art is like traveling back in a time machine. His models from the 1950's through 1970's are fabulous. It's astonishing to discover that when the authorities in some areas first discovered some of his models brazenly sticking their feet out toward his lens....he was arrested for obscenity ! His response was, “They said what I was doing with the stockinged feet was perverted.“I asked them what exactly was perverted about it and they couldn’t tell me. It only proves that feet are sexy, because if something about my foot photos hadn’t got to them they wouldn’t have come after me”. When they had a warrant out for his arrest in the 1960's, the hippies in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco took him in and hid him from the authorities....You gotta love that ! It makes a Great Coffee Table Book !
