Now on the hunt, Samantha will use her considerable resources - including her growing supernatural abilities - to locate the missing girl before it's too late. And as she gets closer and closer to the horrible truth, she receives devastating news on the home front. Now with her world turned upside down, Samantha Moon is forced to make the ultimate choice of life and death. And through it all, she discovers the identity of one mysterious man...a man she has grown to love.

SPIDER BITE
As a vampire with a penchant for fresh human blood, Spider has done a lot of bad things. Now it's time to right some of those wrongs, and Spider has spent the past few years of his immortal life doing just helping those who can't help themselves. And maybe, just maybe, getting on God's good side. Oh, and falling in love with a girl named Parker Cole. A mortal girl, of all people. Now when Parker's cousin, Dylan, gets cursed with the mother of all curses, it's up to Spider to save the day...and in the process help a necrophiliac ghost find true love, stop the Devil at his own game, and, if all goes according to plan, live happily ever after with the girl of his dreams. All in a night's work for Spider and the gang...

THE VAMPIRE IN THE IRON MASK
Spinoza is a private investigator who specializes in finding the missing. He's good at what he does. Damn good. But he's also a recovering alcoholic and a royal mess. Now determined to redeem his troubled soul, Spinoza won't let his personal demons—or demons of any kind—stop him from finding the missing. In this third and final Spinoza mystery, a worker at a popular medieval dinner theater hires Spinoza to find out the identity of one of his co-workers, a co-worker who's never been seen without an iron mask...and who just might be a real prisoner. Spinoza's new client hints that the man in the iron mask is being held without his consent in the bowels of the dinner theater, a forbidden area for the other employees. When Spinoza attends Medievaland, posing as a guest, he doesn't count on bumping into someone from a previous case, nor can he ever forget what he finds when his investigation takes him past his own life tragedy and brings him face-to-face with the vampire imprisoned in the iron mask. But is the vampire someone he should rescue, or fear?

The vampire, is a subgenre of horror (admittedly not my favorite) that has evolved to become much more than scares. Although there are some creeps in this trilogy of novels, Moon Dance is primarily a romantic mystery more along the lines of Twilight. Yes, there's a werewolf involved (not a spoiler because it becomes apparent in the second or third chapter).

Book 2 is Vampire Love Story which involves an interesting dynamic involving an MMA fighter. It's pretty cool because the story is a love story told by a dude, FOR dudes. The third book in my series of novels was different than for other people. It was another J. R. Rain book The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo, involving a missing person and the MC is a private investigator.

When he gets contracted, he is told that the missing person is a vampire slayer ala Buffy. I liked that story well-enough as well. All three novels are pretty cool in my estimation with some measure of originality, and intriguing characters to get you interested in their series. Fast-paced with action-oriented climaxes and satisfying denouements to initiate three distinct series.

Vampires

I loved these books, the story line is good. The story flows off the pages and going from book one to two ,the books just move smoothly until the end of book 3 which keeps you wondering what happens next. I can't wait to read the next book in the series .

This is a fantastic series~ Samantha Moon, the mother turned PI.. the only problem...she is a vampire after an attack that she now has to hide from her family and others. She fights against the need to sleep and going out in the sunlight by any means necessary; especially when it comes to her children. She will meet interesting people along the way, discover a whole new world, make new powerful friends and enemies, and eventually, her husband and his activities will come out in the open. Parts of the books are LOL and ROFL, others will break your heart. She has a will of iron with a heart of gold. You will ABSOLUTELY love and want to read ALL the books in the series...do not miss out on Samantha Moon's world!

Riveting Read

Thoroughly enjoyable and engrossing read. We developed script and interesting characters that you gradually warm to. Only one exception to the characters was 'Fang'. For a secret online friend who seemed to know all things vampiric, it was disappointing for him to be eventually revealed as a know it all human who obviously knew less than a human possibly could from reading and watching films.
Had it not been for this unbelievable relationship this would have been a 5 star review but I still recommend this to any fan of the genre, it is well worth the read and I am eagerly looking forward to the next instalment in the series

Most pitiful vampire ever!

I have read the first three books of this series and "Sam" is the most pitiful and boring vampire ever!
No one can be as clueless as she was, about everything! Her cheating husband, what did she think was going to happen when the guy puked after touching her!? Six years, no sex , no affection... HELLO!!! In all that time she NEVER tried to find out about vampires. Why? Reality check... you are a vampire! Sooo... they are real! And to keep dragging the story out and saying nothing.
I'm sorry but I cannot jump on the "these are such great stories bus"! I'm getting off at this stop!

Couldn’t Put It Down

Outstanding series, books 1-3 features PI, Samantha Moon, and the interesting characters she meets and cases she solves along the way. What separates these vampire stories from the rest is the contemplation and searing soul searching Samantha, a wife, a mom of two and a self-employed private investigator goes through. She doesn’t know much about the “condition” that changed who she was 6 years prior in a violent attack that should have killed her. She doesn’t know if she is dead or alive, if is she the monster her husband calls her or if she’s a human worth loving. Very well written, plotted and edited, these books were a pleasure to read.

I love this series

Wow. What a ride. Samantha and the gang are unusual and I cannot wait to read more. After 6 years of being a vampire Samantha is finding out more about herself and her capabilities. She now was the help of a werewolf, a fugitive and other people on the way. Never a dull moment.

Really enjoyed it.

Having, never read anything by Mr. Rain, I was pleasantly surprised. All three vampires were so different in nature that you never had a chance to get bored, I'm looking forward to delving into each series.

I was disappointed in this book actually. I started off excited that there would be three books but it turns out they only give you about a third of each of the three books, then there's a link at the end of each third telling you to go buy the full book on kindle. I thought I was buying the full three books in this compilation! So I was disappointed to find out that I was only getting the first third of each... Very sneaky... I chose to not click the links and go buy the full versions on kindle, as they were not that exciting anyways.

I love this series! I'm always guessing what's going to happen next. This is not like any vampire series I have ever read before. I love that this is a regular stay at home mom who's trying to balance what she is, who she is and life. Such a great concept. The characters are great even though I really don't like Samantha's husband!! :) Great read hope you enjoy the series as much as I have and will continue along long as J.R. writes them!

The beginnings of three different series

I enjoyed reading these books. They are the first novels of three different series by Mr. Rains. You get a good idea of what each series is about.
My favorite is Samantha Moon. But Spinoza is good too.
If you haven't read any of Mr. Rain's work, this is a great introduction to a Master Storyteller.

Not what I expected

The story moved slow. The storyline development was too much in some areas and sketchy in others. The characters were kind of boring. It was an overdeveloped lead in to the next book of the series. I have no desire to continue this series.

All 3 stories were pretty good and I look forward to reading the sequels. The second book, however, had a lot of typos. Not sure if that was just due to it being Kindle edition or not.
