Dogism

Rate this book
Lance Thomas is a sexy, young black male who has it all: a high-paying blue collar career, a home in Queens, New York, two cars, a son, and a beautiful wife.

However, after getting married at a very young age he realizes that he is afflicted with DOGISM, a distorted sexuality that causes men to stray and be unfaithful in their relationships with women.

You will not stop turning the pages as you read and witness Lance as he juggles God, a wife, a son, and a new mistress, all the while trying to end his dealings with a past drama-filled stripper who is obsessed with him. In the midst of drama and deception, Lance realizes that eventually every dog has his day.

This must read novel takes you through a journey in the life, mind, and emotions of a man, showing that at times even dogs, with their distorted sexuality have a conscience.

While I loved this book Lance the main character drove me crazy! The concept of the book was great but Lance got away with entirely too damn much. The fact that he tried to have sex with another woman in his wife's home while she was there just made me mad as hell! That being said I really enjoyed this book. Mr. Anthony gave a truly eye opening look into the mind of a very selfish it's all about me and what I want married man. I applaud is honesty in this book. I understand there is a sequel which I will at some point read.

This book really starts out slow, and picks up just a little. Lance is a womanizer, thought he has a loving wife, child..he still goes astray. In fact he's been cheating on his wife since b4 they got married, and they married in their teens..This book will give you some insight into the male mind.Makes you wonder if the man that you're dealing with is the person you think that he is..and the answer id probably no..on wish that Lance would've learned more...And would've had to pay in some form or the other....

Ugggh...Grrr...gurgle..reflects unfortunate potential caught on camera facial poses...mentioned below!😆😜

This purported man of God is a quick change artist of the highest order.A truly detestable individual, a deplorable bag of hypocrisy and contradictions...perhaps a borderline ? Narcissistic for sure but since his conscience comes out to play and he harbors guilt intermittently, doubt sociopathic. Whatever he is,his sins against his wife and marriage are epic, dizzying and exhibit paramount rage inducement capacity .
Make sure there are no cameras in your vicinity,as we tend to look unattractive with our mouths hanging wide open, the sustained and repeated action allowing a ribbons of drool to stain our visage just and his thought, actions and behaviors stain our consciousness and his fictional (thank F#ck) soul. The teeth baring grimace\growling is unappealing too, lol.
This is an exhausting journey as we experience the events from this sex addict\serial cheater's. warped mentality ...no relief in site.He has had a stripper side chick throughout his entire marriage.,adds new chick to mix,no condom....pregnancy, so finally must confess. Finally shares sex addiction most likely to incite empathy and forgiveness. ..she does, unaware of stripper. He lasts a whole 6 months before reaching out to her.So in effect back with 3 woman....open ended.😁
OMG...looks as if there is sequel!😂😂😂 Dear God...some ACCOUNTABILITY??!!

Love vs. Sex is Feelings vs. Addiction a Mental state vs Mental disease.

This is a story about an addiction. As well as a selfish dude that has the opportunity to hide his short-comings behind his “faith”, the naive women that he prey on, & his lucky of getting away with it for so long. It’s very realistic. Dang near thought this was a bio of someone I know personally. Ha-ha! What Steve said about Jesus not being married made me think. Had me looking up marriage in the bible…LOL!

Love: 1 Corinthians 13:4-13
Marriage: Ephesians 5:25-33
Forgiveness: Matthew 6:15

The book made his ‘type” of women (Brazilian) to appear naive, insecure, & desperate.

If you are with a person for a long time and he/she marries and have kids with someone else and is still in a relationship with you the entire time. You should know your place in their life. You are a security blanket, a pacifier, meaningless but enjoyable sex-partner. And if you’re ok with that then understand that there’s also the chance that you will also become the “hubby/wife” in your relationship with them and be replaced and/or creeped on. Your secret relationship creates a false success of accomplishment in one’s mind. You could be so into yourself that you can’t see the unstableness & dangers of others.

Ummm...this book kept my attention but of course annoyed me since the main character is a self proclaimed dog. This story read like a man's fairytale of cheating, the consequences and the follow through, if you will. Moral of the story - some men should just stay single. At least that was my moral for the story. All in all, entertaining listen, trash dude, definitely fiction and some things I just couldn't imagine playing out but hey, live out your fantasy bruh (lol)!

What was I thinking??? The first time I read this book I LOVED it...I just read it again because there is a sequel and I was SO ANNOYED by the entire book...Now I have to read the sequel because I already bought it. This book could also pass for a "religious" read because there were so many references to God and the Bible that I felt like I was reading a religious book.

Right now, I am curious to know how will this story ends. That is the reason I enjoy reading and flipping these pages. Not finished yet, though.
