Bestselling author Tracy Price-Thompson returns with another steamy novel, packed with wife swapping, down-low desires, racial self-hatred, and sexual swinging. . . .

But once he looks past her milky skin and into her heart, his racial stereotypes are blown wide open.
Sexy and full of Brooklyn spice, Sparkle Henderson loves on the black-hand side or not at all. Just a whiff of jungle fever can send her flying into a rage, but when she’s caught in a web of sexual trickery, she finds love in a strange place and is forced to reexamine her beliefs.

Wow! Where do I start? The book centers around Kevin Lawson who has an overactive sex drive as does his eager to please wife "Freak Nasty Fancy". There's NOTHING she won't do to please her man sexually. Everyone knows Fancy spends weekend at the bar, slow grinding the men and taking them home. What they don't know is that she does all this in an effort to fulfill her husband's huge appetite for lots of sex and fantasy. Emile is Kevin's pathetic foster brother whom despises all African American women but praises Caucasian women. Lil does he know a woman is a woman but he'll soon find out the hard to swallow, can't shake the taste out your mouth way :-) Sparkle Henderson is the self proclaimed finest thing walking the base. She too is racially challenged, believing only a black man can satisfy her needs and wants. She quickly learns that you can't lead your heart. This was a great read with a lesson to be learned but a tinge of disappointment at the end. I whole heartedly thought Kevin deserved much worse. With said, I'll leave you in suspense to read the book and judge for yourself.
In many of the interviews that I have read by Tracy Price-Thompson in regards to her book Knockin' Boots, she describes the book as her personal indictment against the evils of sexual addiction. Although I don't think she made her point in that respect, I do believe she showcased her skill as an exceptional writer.
I was amused and captivated as the story unfolded fleshing out the personalities of the main characters. Although, a few of them were written over the top, I could identify with her characters and relate them with people that I know.
The sex scenes within the book were both varied and steamy albeit to short for my tastes. In fact, the overall book appeared to be rushed. I am not a proponent of the "short and sweet" novel. If a novel is a good read I don't care if it is 500 pages. I'm not sure if Ms. Thompson was rushed by her publisher to get done or just bended to the will of readers who won't pick up a book over 300 hundred pages, but I would have loved it if Ms. Thompson would have expanded the sex scenes and backgrounds of the characters in her novel making it twice as long or breaking it up into two novels making it an even better read.
With that said, Knockin' Boots is a worthy pick for people looking for something to read in the black erotic fiction genre.
This was a reread for me. I loved this book it was really hot. Kevin Lawson uses his wife Fancy feed his cravings. Kevin is hitting everything moving he has a sex addiction. His foster brother Emile Pinchback is a dark-skinned brotha with issues he doesn't like black girls because of past abuse he suffered as a kid. His girlfriend Becky Ann is a blond haired blue eyed and he worship the ground she walks on only she is using him. The guys are in the Army and so is Fancy's best friend Sparkle who Kevin is obsessed with. All of these characters have issues and there actions caused them even bigger one's. This book was really erotic I mean Kevin alone was hot I mean threesomes twosomes. This book also had some funny scenes in it like Sparkle on a date with the guy at his house Gary who she thought was packing and he was not and him locking her on the balcony naked. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
This novel deal with two foster brother; One was good looking, and was abused by the girls in the foster home where he lived, causing him to have a sexual addiction and marry a woman with just as healthy of a sexual appetite as he. Hes in the Army, has a great career when things began to go a bit haywire. Ill leave that there. The other foster brother wasnt good lookng and shunned by his foster sisters. He ended up preferring white women and falling for a local white girl on post that he has a hankering for. But does she have one for him as well? Page turning with some very good steamy sex scenes; sure to turn your head.
I was in the mood for drama and I got drama. This book explained some things about a very different disease in which most people won't believe in, however it's very real. I liked the different accounts of the same stories. Some parts were extra boring & I had to skim through them. The ending was a shocker, which was great.
This book was racy, but yet very profound. The messages sent to readers in this book are important ones to heed and the storyline hooked me from page one. Of course, I love Tracy Price-Thompson's writing style anyway...
I forgot I finished reading this book, but it was a really good read. Very educational too. I loved how it mixed the military community in it. Being that I am military myself. I related a lot to the terms in this story. Loved this book.
THIS IS A VERY GOOD BOOK... IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BOOK WITH LOTS OF DRAMA OR STUFF THEN U CAN RELATE TO THIS BOOK IN MANY WAYS! FROM GIRLFRIEND DRAMA TO BOYFRIEND DRAMA AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN!
