This series just keeps getting better and better, I love this! The character development is great, I can't help but feel so connected to the story. There are so many things that have happened and I am so happy with everything. Whenever I finish a volume, I feel shocked because of how fast paced it is. This is a great series and I hope everyone will give it a try.

Clean up after yourself. If you want to be accepted, you must accept yourself first.

Shizuku is a studybug who thinks of her studies as the highest priority. Haru is a guy who was suspended on the first day of school and hasn't return since. Shizuku was given the job to give Haru his homework along with convincing him to come back to school. After meeting Shizuku, Haru can't help but feel relieved that someone isn't scared of him and wants to keep her by his side for as long as he can. They form a cute relationship that is confusing but sweet.

Whenever I read this, the characters always say at least one line that sticks with me. I learn so much from this series about life and about things that I should try out.

The characters are all the same, they are all amazing in their own way. The character development is great as well, I can see how much stronger the characters are and how different they were from when the series first started. I love how all of the characters support each other and look out for each other. I love seeing how every relationship progresses in this series. The characters are all bold in their own way, which makes me think about how I should feel more confident.

The pacing is perfect, sometimes I feel like like it is fast while other times it is kinda slow, which balances everything out. I can't believe I am this far in this series already and I can't wait to read the next volume.

I highly recommend this to everyone!

Favorite volume!!!!

Whyyyy? Why do I find comfort in this?! Natsume is so immature but I had the best time when she was fighting with Sasayan, lol! I feel like they just lifted the anchor on my ship and it's finally ready to sail (a little mooooore push!) but I'm kinda worried about Mitchan, what is his deal?! But the ending with Shizuku finally opening up herself, professing her true feelings for Haru is the best! AND THE KISS? AWESOME, I CAN'T KEEP CALM.

And lol, Sasayan is right, he was the first side character to be introduced and he's only reaching the cover art now, why?!

Still rooting for Yamaken tbh (even if it's useless) but Haru got better, I feel like he is starting to understand that Shizuku doesn't have to be around him all the time, he still goes a little crazy around Yamaken but he is getting better...
Also Natsume :(((( poor girl but I knew it was coming it was kind of obvious from the beginning
And I wish Sasayan had a more active role in the group of friends I feel like he is just there lately, making the needed apparitions only to show that he is still around. I mean he did have his moments with Haru but he deserves more, he is a nice character

It's cute and I haven't gotten anything better to do. Would objectively give it way less for the love triangle and Natsume-Micchan. Sasayan is the coolest among them.

chapter 21:
Natsume is so adorable😭😭
i really like the friendship with Natsume and Sasayan, it’s a cute dynamic
idk why but i’m getting the vibe that Natsume and Sasayan will end up together??
i agree with Micchan, it’s important that Haru and Mitty have more people around them other than each other, they can’t be codependent and Haru needs to stop clinging onto Mitty for everything
sure Sasayan wasn’t wrong about Natsume bunching everyone up in one category but like she’s been hurt all the way through middle school so can’t really blame her…
i love that Haru didn’t let her be alone😭🖤
ahhhh they finally made up🖤🖤

chapter 22:
Yuu-chan has a boyfriend? well i way off with her liking Yamaken then😂 but Yuu-chana and Tokida’s story was so cute😭
i feel like Ooshima saying she really likes Haru and saying she’ll give Haru the chocolates is really out of pocket cause aren’t Haru and Mitty technically dating already?? but watch Haru misunderstand the situation😂

chapter 23:
i hate Mitty’s mom more than ever… i don’t care how busy you are, you find time for your child ESPECIALLY when you haven’t seen them in ages ugh
they’ve basically been abandoned by their mother… and the way the mom constantly blames the dad…
i feel so bad for Mitty, having to go through her first period alone😭
ahhhhh Haru went over to her house, at least she’s got a good surprise😭

chapter 24:
i love that Micchan doesn’t let Yuuzan tease him😂
ahhh i love Takaya, he’s a good brother and i’m glad he told Haru that Mitty was lonely (bc even though it was painfully obvious, my man’s quite dense) so that Haru can cheer her up more or maybe have her open up
oh wait a minute… her mom didn’t even fucking call her bc she forgot it was her DAUGHTER’S birthday?!? WHAT THE FUCK
ahhhh i love the confidence Mitty is gaining from Haruuuuuu😭🖤 but the way she kissed him, ran away, and fell over💀

This volume was so cute and it seems like the characters are moving forward from where they were. Haru and Sasayan are becoming more friendly and Haru is hanging out with Sasayan's friends. Shizuku's brother Takaya is introduced, who is just like his sister. She loves her little brother, she keeps saying he is cute and a well-behaved kid. This volume had Valentines day and Shizuku's Birthday, so all the girls in the group got together and made chocolates for their crushes, that was fun. Yuuchan got the opportunity to talk about her boyfriend. Ooshima got to give her chocolate to Haru and told him to his best, and like Asako said she knows her place so she won't interfere between Haru and Shizuku. I feel a little bad for Asako, she likes Micchan and gave him the chocolates but didn't get the reaction she wanted back from him. And Sasayan seems to care for Asako but I don't think there will be anything between... I guess I'm wrong but let's see what happens in the coming volumes. I liked the part where Haru wanted to brag about how Shizuru was making and then would give chocolates to Haru, but Yamaken was like "Valentine's day?... What about it?" he said that while he flipped his bag and there fell all the chocolate boxes given to him by girls, on the table. hehehe!!

Now I am hooked to this series. It's relaxed and cute. Thank God! (´♡‿♡`)

Here I thought since Sasayan was on the cover we’d get something on him but alas we are left with the fact he is just a chill sporty boy 😔

I LOVE the Valentine’s Day episode and honestly props to this manga for including tropes that aren’t as overused and make it more fun to read! Not that the ski trip and Valentine’s Day trope aren’t a little trite but it beats the beach trope!

Anywho so Haru and Shizuku remain in this weird limbo where they are not dating. But they like each other. Well Shizuku does for sure. And Haru is... Haru. JDSHJWWH I would complain more if I didn’t find the side characters and certain tropes so fun in this series ;)

With every progressing volume we get a little tidbit on the characters whether it be backstory or just a little fact. Yuu-chan (Ooshima’s sister and NOT Haru’s brother lol I had confusion for a while) has a long distance boyfriend and Shizuku’s mom being a workaholic that barely has time for her is an example of something from this volume that created a bigger picture.

To volume 7!!

Finally, progress! It took forever, and it might be too late to salvage this series, but I'll take what I can get at this point. There's progress between Shizuku and Haru, real progress, and actual character development too.

I still hate all of the side characters except Sasayan and Mitchan, and time's wasted on a backstory for Yu-chan because she's apparently going to be a main addition now. People encourage Oshima to go after Haru, which is super shitty even if they aren't dating (I thought they were when Shizuku said she wanted to make it work with Haru, but I guess not 🤷‍♀️? I'm beginning to question the translation...) and even if Oshima wasn't their friend; and Natsume is one of the people encouraging her despite repeatedly claiming to be Shizuku's best friend. *I have been told by my husband that unless they were officially together, Haru is fair game. Maybe not going after the guy your friend likes is just a girl thing 🤷‍♀️*. The writing in this series is nonsensical and inconsistent, and used solely to manufacture drama.

Okay I am done. I could not follow what's going on in this volume, and stopped halfway through. I have had this problem in previous volumes, it's not the only one. I've lost interest. I am not going to finish this series.
It is just an okay shojou series. Nothing stands out. It's another "girl determined to have the jerk as a boyfriend". Haru has his good moments, but he is yandere-ish, and a taker. Shizuku is somewhat interesting. But the characters are just archetypes with pretty much no substance. There is a reason I read shonen manga, when shojou genre is pretty much this: uninteresting love triangles.
A good shojou series is Horimiya. I highly recommend that. This one I would avoid.

I started reading this manga after watching the anime on Netflix. It is funny, though of romance genre. The friendships, relations, characters are refreshing, considering the genre.
I love it how we get to read not only what the characters are saying but also what they are thinking, the funny bits.
The back stories in between help to get a better perspective of the characters behaviour.

I would love it more if the volumes could have had more stories.

Why am I putting myself through this? More importantly, why did I enjoy the anime so much?

PS: I started this because I had the mistaken impression that I enjoyed the anime a lot. Turns out, I didn't!

So again. WHY am I putting myself through this, expecting the story to tackle the things it has only been hinting at so far?1

A very solid volume, the valentines chapters were really good which gave some more depth to why shizuku is the way she is, not only that but Oshima has alot more to do in this one too, I really like her character, she's so sweet, a little too nice tho. There has been some good development on the other characters too and the way the volume ended was really interesting, onto 7!

I really wanted more of Sasayan in the spotlight...but not like that.

The first half of this was structured in a confusing, frustrating way. It's unclear who was speaking on the first page, which is a major issue with a series that tells things from a big cast's varying points of view. Was it Haru, since he was in the car in the second page? But then on the third page and for the rest of the chapter, it was all Sasayan-centric.

Few things frustrate me more than unclear narrators/dialogue in manga/graphic novels. (It's not always a translation issue; I've had some 1 star American graphic novels present this problem.)

Another problem with the Sasayan POV is that he spends so much time with his group of friends, which would be great...if these crowd scenes weren't always cluttered with so much unattributed background dialogue. It gets so tiring to read, when you're the type of reader who actually wants to know what's going on in all the panels, and isn't content just breezing over background chatter.

Natsume's fight with Sasayan didn't make a lot of sense to either him or me - I'm still not exactly sure what she was so mad about - but I liked that he called her out on isolating herself. She wants so badly to have friends but cuts off everyone around her...which means she's the one ruining her own chances at an active social life.

Not something she wants to hear, but she does eventually listen, a little. It's interesting that Sasayan actually doesn't seem romantically interested in her at this point. He's happy with his friends and just pokes his nose into other people's business to help out where he can - like with Haru. I'd gotten the distinct impression from the anime that he had a crush on Natsume, but in the manga I'm getting a much stronger sense that dating her - at least at this point in her emotional maturity - would frustrate him to no end.

Speaking of Haru, I really liked him acknowledging that he does violent, impulsive, jealous things that he knows aren't right, but that he has trouble controlling in the moment and then regrets later. I like that it was Sasayan, not Mitty, holding him back and making him think before he did anything rash. Romantic relationships aren't the only thing you need; those friendships are crucial, too, and developing those is helping Haru to develop a lot himself.

Oshima's friend's romantic backstory was...randomly inserted, but actually super sweet. It's the best love story being told so far, and we got that one wrapped up in just a few pages. (This cast is honestly too big; I absolutely cannot keep track of names at this point.)

The Valentine's baking stuff was honestly pretty boring, but Mitty's birthday, and all the stuff with her mother, was amazing. One of the best parts of the series so far - and it does so much more to explain Mitty than that goldfish pot did.

In one of the earlier volumes, she said something about the reason she studies so hard, and then hesitated over it: is that really why? It felt like a slightly jarring throwaway line at the time. But here we finally find out more of why Mitty is so fiercely independent and so obsessed with getting top grades that lead to a well-paying career. It's all because of her family life.

Some of it's her personality, of course. But a lot of it is (a) using her top grades as the one thing she knows will get her busy mother's attention and approval and (b) identifying a way that will help to bring her mother home, so they can spend more time together. Her mother is away at work all the time in order to support the family, since her father is falling down on that responsibility. So if Mitty makes enough money to help out, her mother won't have to be away all the time...

It all makes so, so much sense. And it's incredibly sad because I don't think she's let herself understand yet that her mother just doesn't want to come home.

The birthday party was sweet and terrible, and I'm so glad for Mitty's little brother and for Haru, who showed up to save the day without realizing that's what he was doing. His present - once he followed Oshima's advice to think about what would make Mitty smile - was so thoughtful, and the scene with Mitty clinging to his jacket while she called her mom to ask her to talk to her on her birthday...

Ouch. So good. So painful. And finally, Haru has what he wanted...someone to rely on him, to need him, which he didn't think would ever be the case with Mitty.

A rough start to this volume but a really great ending.

SINOPSIS:

FRASES Y FRAGMENTOS:
"He sabido cómo hacerme feliz yo misma.

Read this in the original Japanese manga version. Thought it was okay, but the first chapter was rather annoying. I don't think I like the whiny Natsume-chan so much. She's like the typical standard girl character that must exist within shoujo manga. Then the next chapter was about kids getting excited about Valentine's Day because there's always a need for such a scene in shoujo manga. The last two chapters were on the actual Valentine's slash Shizuku's birthday, with predictable events, but better than the earlier chapters. The sneak peek promised a better volume for the next book, because gosh, I need Yamaken-kun to come back and stir things up! It was bit blah this time around.

I love watching the everyone develop I love watching them realise that they can't do it alone and how their friends are there for them! Especially Haru and Shizuku, when she kissed him it was so cute and you can't help but just feel connected to all the characters. I like that we get more of a backstory for Shizuku and the Valentine's Day arc was so much fun to read. I ship Mitchan and Natsume❤️ it works.

I get that it can sometimes feel slow but I'm seeing some real character growth so it's okay ✨

There is some artistic inconsistency with Haru but it might just be a combination of the lighting and angle.

• Haru described as weird is the perfect description of him.
• I wanna see the cousin without glasses. • Okay, the MC’s little brother is so adorable!!!! And Haru’s reaction to him is priceless.
• The valentines/birthday kisses were so good!!! I didn’t expect them at all.
