Oh boy! This one requires the following on the readers part:
1- The need to drink lots of water as things certainly heat up to unbearable (but oh-so bearable) levels.
2- The continuous need to fan yourself with whatever you have at hand. Yes, I solemnly swear by this!
3- And yes, the need for a cold shower as soon as you are done! Yes, Doing Logan kinda wreaks havoc on your senses - ALL in a good way!!
And oh yes, be warned of increased heart rate from time to time! And might linger for a bit even once you are done! *wink*

4,25 stars!!

Memorable Scene:
- from the moment Logan and Meredith are in the car via against-the-wall-by-the-door making out to the panties-ripping in the bedroom > *fans self*

Quick & Dirty-review:

Ingredients/Summary:
It's an Ellora's Cave Quickie so the blurb about covers it as far as a summary goes.

Hero:
Logan Foster

Heroine:
Meredith Wainwright

I guess I was too engrossed in the hot stuff to notice any personality traits in the main characters, because where I normally make annotations about hero and heroine while reading a book, this time I have nothing written down…nothing. Well, draw your own conclusions from that *wink*

Plot:
DOING LOGAN is a short and sweaty hot friends-to-lovers erotic romance novella.

Writing:
Engaging writing that hooks you from start to finish. And Rhian Cahill writes the sexy like no one else can. Hot, enticing, sensual and intense. Her writing is clear, very explicit and calling things by their name but never turning vulgar or crude. Rhian Cahill's sex scenes are awesome! They leave nothing to the imagination and still stay on the right side of explicitness.

Likes:
- the sex scenes. Rhian Cahill has an uncanny talent for writing fabulously intense smexing

Dislikes:
- due to the shortness of the story there's no real getting to know Logan and Meredith other than how they behave in the early stages of taking their friendship to being in a relationship.
- beating a dead dog here but: this novella is just too damn short, I wanted more Logan and Meredith.

Verdict:
Oh sweet Lord, no matter what subject or trope Rhian Cahill tackles, it's always a deliciously HOT read and DOING LOGAN is no exception. From start to finish this short read is sizzling enough to burn the pages.

Ms. Cahill, you have got yourself a fan for life, where your erotic contemporary work is concerned, I thank you for writing such amazing and hot stories that take me away for a couple of hours and make me forget my troubles.

I want more of it so publishers please don’t make me wait too long for her next erotic contemporary, okay?

LET ME SAY UPFRONT THAT I COULD'VE QUOTED THIS ENTIRE BOOK, IT HAD SO MANY SNIPPETS WORTHY OF MENTIONING so enjoy the “handful” I’ve included below…

Favorite Quotes:
If he wanted something, he went after it. Simple. Except for one thing. Meredith Wainright . Where she was concerned, his courage disappeared completely. For over twenty years she’d had him tied in knots and unable to be his usual assertive self. He’d be putty in her hands if she ever decided to touch him.

Meredith couldn’t believe they talked about the weather. She was trying to get up the courage to ask Logan inside for coffee and all that came out was “nice weather we’ve been having”. If it wouldn’t make her look more of a twit she’d slap herself upside the head.

The closer they got to her house the more tense she became. It didn’t help that the man oozed sex. From the way he moved to the way he smelled, Logan Foster projected dark forbidden pleasure.

There was no time to wonder what Logan was apologizing for. Her back hit the wall and his mouth slanted over hers. This kiss was nothing like the one in the car. Hot lashes of his tongue had her opening to him. He swept inside, touching, tasting, devouring. Wet velvet ribbons unfurled inside her and rolled out until every inch of her melted against his hard body. With lips, tongue and teeth he ate at her. Consumed her in a fiery lip-lock that incinerated all memory of previous kisses.

“The bare little-girl look does nothing for me but a well-groomed woman makes me hotter than hell."

She was gorgeous. Lush curves painted pink from exertion and satisfaction, she glowed and Logan had the sudden urge to lick every inch of her. From head to toe he wanted to feast on all that female flesh.

Razor-sharp need cut and sliced at senses already teased to their limits. With the slide of his fingers, Logan shoved her over the edge of sanity. Wanton desire ripped through her, the force shook her limbs and made her heart race at alarming speed.

The woman could tempt a saint and watching her eat was better than watching porn. She savored every mouthful, the look of bliss on her face one he recognized well. Their whole meal had been foreplay.
The way she sucked the food from her fork to the way she licked her lips between bites had his heart pounding and blood racing. He’d shifted so many times in his seat it was a wonder he hadn’t worn a hole in it.

Their mouths were a breath apart but he didn’t touch her. If they kissed now he’d lose it completely and take what his body screamed was his.

Doing Logan is a short but hot story of second chances at love, and friends turning lovers.

Can real life live up to twenty years of fantasy and desire? This is the question Logan Foster plans to learn the answer to. For over twenty years, his heart has belonged to Meredith, but they have never crossed the line from friends to lovers. One of Logan’s biggest regrets was introducing Meredith to her former husband, Dirk. But now, Meredith is free, and Logan is determined to show Meredith how he feels about her, once and for all.

Things come to a head when they are at a dinner party, and the host has neglected to tell his wife that he invited Dirk and his brand new trophy wife to the evening. Dirk gets nasty, and Logan comes to Meredith’s side to offer support, but she hadnles things quite well on her own.

Can Logan convince Meredith of his feelings? Can Meredith accept what Logan offers, and learn to love again? Will these two forge a happy ever after that Meredith never got with Dirk?

This story has a touch of humor, and Rhian Cahill has crafted characters you want to cheer for. There is a glimpse into what Meredith had been through, very briefly seen, in what wife number two for Dirk is now experiencing.

Meredith is a strong and classy lady. She is determined to move on with her life after divorcing her unfaithful spouse. At the confrontation at the party, she takes the higher ground, and gains the respect of all those in attendance. She has always felt warmth toward Logan, but never realized the depth of his feelings for her before now.

Logan has regrets about chances missed with Meredith. He is strong and loyal, and and wants Meredith to realize she needs to accept him in her life. I enjoyed watching their love unfold, and each experience that they had was brand new to them. I liked that Logan was willing to risk his heart, with no demands on Meredith other than for her to accept what he freely offered.

Ms. Cahill puts these two in lots of steamy scenes all over the town, but the action is never more than he characters are ready for. I enjoyed watching Barbie discover what kind of man she got in Meredith’s ex, and I had to laugh at encounter at the restaurant, when Barbie realizes what’s happening, both with Dirk the jerk, and with Logan and Meredith. If you want a short but scorching hot story, this one is definitely for you. But be sure to bring the ice water, you will need it.

With Doing Logan—and I loved how the title is worked into the story—Rhian Cahill has cemented her position on my authors-to-get list.
No sexy shifters this time, but honestly, Logan doesn’t need any help in the sexiness department. The man’s total head-over-heels love for Meredith is more than enough. Then add in his chivalry and tenderness for her as well as the super-hot sex the two indulge in and Cahill has done it again!

I really liked how, even though Logan moved to support Meredith in her run-in with her ex, she didn’t need it. She not only behaved in a much more adult manner, but she was a class act at the same time. I could, mostly, understand how she would be a little reluctant to open her heart to anyone, even long-time friend Logan. She’s a little gun-shy… and why not?

But I loved how Logan was able to break through to her heart and show her just how much she meant to him. It wasn’t too fast to be unbelievable and his perseverance was much to be admired.

The sex is hot and even when Meredith and Logan are not *doing* anything, there’s a sizzle in the air—one of Ms. Cahill’s strengths as far as I’m concerned. There’s really not a lot to *say* about the story except that it is a great romance with characters likable, somewhat pathetic and just plain…uh well you can discover for yourself.

At 44 pages Doing Logan is a satisfying read that’s not going to take hours; it’s a very tasty and sufficient offering from an author who’s shown herself well able to bring romance to anyone’s day-to-day.

Oh Boy, Logan!!

Logan has been in love with Meredith for almost twenty years, and had watched her husband cheat on her for most of them. Meredith is so over Dirk the Dickless ex-husband and his new wife Barbie. At a party for friends, Meredith is confronted by Barbie, "stay away from my husband, he doesn't want you any more!" Barbie says. Logan comes to stand by Meredith for moral support. She is unfazed, but feels it is time to go, no drama is good drama. Logan drives her home, she asks him in for coffee. "If I come in, coffee won't be what I'm here for!" Oh boy, is she ready to try something with Logan? She has been feeling much more for him lately, she believes it was always there, but lay dormant, just waiting for the right time. They embark on a truly erotic adventure. These two burn up the sheets, and every other available space in both their houses. Even a few public spaces, restaurant bathroom, beach, etc! Logan has told her his feelings, but tells her to take her time. Will Meredith find the courage to let herself fall in love with Logan and put him out of his misery? Can Logan really sit back and wait for her feelings to surface? Check out this or any other book written by Rhian. She is an incredible author and she must have a wonderful muse, cuz her books are the bomb!! Thanks Rhian!

A relatively short read from Ms. Cahill -- I read it on my lunch break. I love friends-to-lovers stories, and that's what this was. The only thing that seemed "off" about this story is the ex-husband portion. It didn't really add anything other than making me wonder why her ex is saying she still wants him to his new wife. Otherwise, a pretty hot little story.

Another great offering from Rhian! I thought that the intensity and passion these two shared was off the charts amazing, and that for a short story it really packed a punch. It had all the perfect elements to make it a great short read, so I definitely suggest you give this one a try.
