When you crash head-on into love, sometimes it’s hard to escape…
Shortly after Lee’s classic ‘69 Stingray becomes the victim of a hit and run, a gorgeous knight in Armani arrives with proof pointing to the identity of the guilty driver. Being new in town, the last thing Lee needs is a romantic entanglement.
Vince happened to be in the right place at the right time. He didn’t expect to be attracted to Lee. After all, he stopped looking for a lasting relationship some time ago. So what if Lee is his stepbrother’s latest hire and says he’s not interested? Vince has never been one to back down from a challenge.
Can Vince convince Lee that the risk is well worth the reward, for the both of them?
Diana DeRicci is the sexy, flirty pen name of Diana Castilleja. A romance author at heart, DeRicci’s writing takes you into a saucier spectrum of sensuality and sexual adventure, where a happily-ever-after is still the key to any story.
Diana lives in Central Texas with her husband, one son and a feisty little Chihuahua named Rascal.
3.5 stars Lee Volde meets Vince Mulholland when the other man becomes a savior after Lee's classic '69 Stingray becomes a victim of hit and run. Vince is able to take a photo of the runaway driver which helps Lee to make a case for his insurance. Lee feels attracted to the gorgeous man. But, he is new to Houston after a relationship that burns him, and he finds out that Vince is the step-brother of his boss, and that is the last thing Lee needs ...
I think Lee is adorable :). I like a man who is able to say No, well, at first at least *lol*. Because it's kind of cute when Vince determines to do the chasing. I sort of wish that the story lasts more than just 66 pages. BECAUSE, I seriously want to read more of Vince's attempt to get Lee. It is all coming to quick (maybe due to the length). I want to see more than just flowers and dinner. Hey, Lee loves his car, maybe Vince should do something related to that.
It's a nice short story to read in between full length novels ...
Ok short m/m romance about a guy whose vintage car is damaged in a hit-and-run. Fortunately, an attractive stranger was able to snap a few pictures of the accident... I think I would've liked this one a bit better if it hadn't been for all the unclear pronoun references and ongoing editing/writing oddities.
It was too short T^T but I really liked it. It's a sweet story with two great characters... and a Corvette XD And I absolutely adore both characters, I wish I could read more of them *-*
Edit: Second read on 01 October 2014. I don't know how the heck I could've liked this book so much to give it 5 freaking stars. Maybe I was drunk when I've read this book the first time, or maybe now that I'm much older I see things differently. Anyway, I don't like the characters (anymore, I should say) and I found this book an insta-lust not insta-love. And it may be a short story, but it was all happening too fast... one day he says no, soon after he's already in his bedroom, like, wtf lol?! And all the "babe/baby" here and there was nauseating. And also the Corvette, I couldn't care less about it, lol, not one of my fav cars. So, I have to rate it 1,5 stars rounded up to 2. =__=
This was a short, sweet, feel good read. After seeing a woman carelessly run into his prize possession, a 1969 Corvette Stingray, and drive away without a second glance, Lee is shocked and devastated. Until, a gorgeous stranger comes up and saves the day with his mobile phone pictures of the accident. Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome, even manages to capture the license plate number in one of the photos; saving Lee's day.
However, when it becomes apparent that save-the-day man, aka Vince, is interested in being more than just a good samaritan to Lee, Lee gets skittish. He's been burned before, bad, and Vince is going to have to work a little bit if he wants to get his man.

Lee's car is smashed in the parking garage and Vince saves the day by producing the evidence. Vince feels something right away but he needs to make sure Lee might feel the same way. Lee is cautious because he doesn't want to mess up a new job and he's already had one bad relationship. I loved Vince's slow and steady campaign to convince Lee to take a chance.
The story was short and enjoyable! What I did miss is Lee side of a coin or his set of mind true that week when Vince gave him room to breath. Other then that, the story was warm, romantic and lovely. Recommended story.
