Ok, so I bought a camera that was smarter than I was. I looked at several different guides for my camera before settling on this one. I was more than happy with my choice. First, it was quickly obvious that the author had actually used the camera in writing the book, which is really important. It did a great job of explaining in simple terms even some of the most complex functions of the camera, which was no small feat. Furthermore, the book was honest in its assessments, it laid out limitations of the device, explained its strengths and weaknesses. Also, the author did a fine job of giving practical applications to various capabilities the camera had. I never would have considered using the camera in some of the ways described. This book now stays in my camera bag, along with the camera. I consider it a necessary accessory.
