The Adamant, TriTerra’s newest and largest class of heavy cruiser, is carrying a trade delegation to meet with their Lyhannan counterparts at a secret location in the Narrows. As the Adamant prepares for its departure, a Titan destroyer is in the middle of a search for a lost freighter. The destroyer finds the freighter far off course and completely derelict. The investigation into the demise of the freighter leads to a frightening discovery. During its journey to the trade summit, the Adamant encounters trouble of its own. An enemy saboteur not only cripples the ship from within but also gains control of the crew. Before the Adamant can regain control, she is attacked by a Lyhannan battle fleet. In the height of the conflict, an entity from folklore arises and threatens everyone with annihilation

About the author

Born in Baltimore to the son of money collector for a loan shark and the daughter of a Southern share-cropper, Stephen Conley was instantly in the mix of things. By age 4, cops had been called on him for fighting. Because of his small size, the police officer had only laughed especially since the complainant had been a neighbor boy twice his size and twice his age.

His father became a successful martial artist, owning and operating martial art schools all over Baltimore. Even 40 years later, the style his father developed, Lung Fu Do, still has schools in 3 states.

From an early age, Stephen demonstrated a great potential with is imagination. Unfortunately, lying seemed to be his first medium. By high school, he was an accomplished artist, winning dozens of art contests over the years. At age 15, he became the youngest to win Best of Show at Pembroke University, a statewide art contest.

In 1990, Stephen joined the military where he served as an Army Cavalry Scout, an Air Force TACP (type of spec ops), an Air Traffic Controller and finally as an Airfield Operations Officer. He has deployed several times since 9/11 to include a couple of combat zones.

He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and son.
