From 1 to 10, follow along as the animals discover how each of them poops in this hilarious counting tale that is sure to have toddlers and preschoolers wanting to read it again and again. With silly oversized illustrations and playful humor, kids will be engaged to learn their numbers through funny situations involving animals, such as the pig that ends up with poop on its head or the cat that poops in the dog's bowl. From an ant who does 1 teeny-weeny poop to an elephant who does 10 giant poops, poop comes in all shapes and sizes, and counting it has never been so fun! Join author of the newly released King of Poop , Géraldine Collet, as she captures the imaginations of children by combining education with humor in a way that leaves them pleading to read each page over and over. On your mark, get set, poop! Oops, we mean count up to 10!
I guess you learn a bit about animals here, for they're named for us to identify as we go along, but the fact remains this is a counting revision book involving turds. You'll either like that idea or not. Me? Well, it serves its purpose, I suppose, but I would not have rushed to engage any child of mine with such a volume. Great illustrations; indicative nine-years-to-translate-this gap in the book's history.
Funny but also... ewww! This was a bit much. I am not sure what I was expecting when I checked this book out but I was not expecting a counting book... I was expecting more of a narrative story. the mouse at the end is funny and entertaining, just a bit much for me. My story time community would not be happy with me if I used this. On a good day, would I read to to a niece or nephew? Maybe.
This book was a little gross and yet a little funny. It did teach how to count but also with different kinds of poop as well. It was a little gross and a little funny at the same time. It's a good kids book, thanks to Edelweiss for the ARC!
L'album parfait pour apprendre à compter, rigoler, nommer les animaux de la ferme ou d'ailleurs... Les images sont douces et drôles, la chute termine bien l'histoire. Un petit trésor bien culotté que les petits adorent !
My child's age is perfect for this book, so 4? Or if your kid is still young and finds bathroom-related everything to be top humor. This is basic in the counting and the animals used. The illustrations are fine, it's a quick, quirky read. It definitely has a select audience lol.
