This book is called Brave New Pond by Jennifer L. Holm. This book is about this character who talks about his life in cartoons. It the first day of school he has a whole list of things he wants to do on that school year. One of the things that was on the list was two hang out with the abiva brothers and he did the abiva brother were very popular but he hanged out with them. I like this book because this book is funny like when the super hero thought there was danger but it was his food burning. I would recommend this book to my friend Tannia because she likes comic books.
It's a new year at school, and Squish is determined to have a fresh start and become cool. But he soon finds that hanging out with the cool kids might come at a price he's not willing to pay.
I liked this one more than the first Squish book, but I'm still not crazy about it. I find it a little strange that the bad guys in these books all wind up being killed. Do we really want to teach kids that the best way to deal with bullies is to hope an asteroid will crash into them? There are a lot of things I like about the series - parts are quite funny and easy to relate to. But there are other things that I'm not so sure about.

the title of this book is "brave new pond" by jennifer L. holm. this book was about how this boy named squish wanted to be cool at the first day of school. so he did but they tried to get squish to be mean to his old friends. instead he left them and went back with his old friends and knew that he was right. I give this book 3 stars because it was good but not that good.
Loved Squish and will have more to say later, but having not learned my lesson with Goodreads earlier in the year, the site "ate" my review a moment ago. I want to get back to reading tonight, but don't miss the SQUISH series for your boy readers!
Second installment of cute and creative comic. It's the start of a new school year, and Squish wants to make a fresh start. That goes about as well as expected, and Squish winds up learning an important lesson about friendship.
Once again, I love the science-y bits. I hope the vocabulary isn't too much for the target age range. It is worth noting that some of the terms are explained briefly (and lightly).
Squish's new world in the pond is about to start! A new school year is abound and Squish is out to make THIS year better than the last! However along the way a particular deed slows him down. Will Squish be able to overcome this instance??! Check this one out! It's sure to put a smile on your face. 😊❤
the description says squish is "everyone's favorite ameoba" but i am sure SOMEONE has a different favorite ameoba false advertising 0/10 this was better than the first book instead of just THINKING about doing the right thing he actually DID it this time good job kid ...and the bullies get obliterated by an asteroid don;t be a bully in this town or You Will Literally Die
This was cute. A new year for Squish! I like how the comic within the comic has something to do with what is going on for Squish and helps him make a decision. And the science experiment at the end! :D
An enjoyable graphic novel that many children can relate to. Squish is an amoeba in school, and the trials of making friends, trying to be the 'cool' kid, and surviving his class will resonate with many youth in this fun book.
It's a new school year, and Squish is determined to have a fresh start. He has his check list of things to do, but he soon finds out that some changes come with a price, and he has to decide if the price of losing old friends is worth the cost.
The graphic novel format remains a successful choice for this series. The visual elements enhance comprehension and provide a dynamic reading experience. The inclusion of diverse characters and their distinct personalities adds to the richness of the narrative.
This book teach me, don’t change yourself because of the other want you to change.I give this book three stars because it can tell me many thing, But i think the book sometimes are boring.
I did enjoy this one a bit more than Babymouse. There is a nice message about loyalty and kindness and choosing the right in the face of peer pressure.
It's an okay book mainly towards kids in elementary school and middle school. It's also a graphic novel which I love but it just weird on how it's based off bacteria as the characters.
