Love looks a whole lot different when you figure in karma and reincarnation...and the concept of a real and perfect "other half." Best advice ever: work on yourself instead of chasing a dream person, when you're ready he/she may appear...

Woke up suddenly in the middle of the night to finish this book almost a year after I began reading it. Perfect timing, of course! This journey with its myriad synchronicities is amazing. “I am filled. I am whole.”

Preface
Fun fact or maybe not a fun fact, but I’m baptized in more than 8 different religions. As a child, my parents wanted me and my sister to be exposed to as many world views as possible + whatever path we wanted to follow they would support. If that part wasn’t inside a religion; that was okay.
Mine turned out to be science. That is my favorite path, my most beloved doctrine (in a way).
But alongside all of this, they also made sure to teach me and my sister the concept of rationalized faith. Which leads me to know that even science can be faulty and biased (much like some sermons I have heard throughout my life). That is okay though, if my faith can withstand reason than that is a good kind of faith. If I can question things and come out of them with clarity (or even more questions that need answers) that is okay too!
Even if I don’t have a definite religion- I do believe in certain spiritual aspects of existence. Call me a romantic (or a bit loony) but there is just something so intricate and aware about the universe in general that it is hard not to believe that there might be some higher power(s), or what not, circling around it. This view about soul mates and twin flames was interesting, some of the things resonated with similar beliefs; other simply didn’t. And that’s okay. Now, at least, I have a little bit more knowledge about the minds and views of other people.
That is always a win in my book.

This book explains Karmic relationships, Soul Mates, and the Ultimate Soul Mate; the Twin Soul. I bought this book in 1999. In the last 10 years, the term Soul Mates and Twin Flames have become mainstream, but to the extent that it is overhyped. The connection of Soul Mates and the Ultimate Soul Mate-the Twin Flame is Profoundly Spiritual in nature. As this book says, "Our ultimate union (Twin Flame) occurs when we have become one with our I AM presence and reunited in the plane of spirit as immortal, God beings." This means individually each person must transform their own Karma and to be one with the Divine, before one is to be reunited with their Twin Flame. Soul Mates along with Twin Flames are your spiritual family, but soul mates help you wake up to your immortal soul. By the time you are blessed to reunite with your soul's counterpart (Twin Flame), you would be awakened by the help of your soul mates.
I highly recommend Soul Mates & Twin Flames- this book has great authentic wisdom. I also highly recommend, Charismatic Connection: The Authentic Soul Mate Experience-The moment Chris and Serena saw each other, their souls recognized each other from time immemorial-true authentic soul mates!

Soul Mates and Twin Flames: The Spiritual Dimension of Love and Relationships is a good starting point for anyone who wants a working definition of the different kinds of love partnerships. This book is an easy read, and breaks down the differences between Soulmates, Twin Flames, and Karmic love partners. Most of the time I think that people fail to realize that you can have more than one soulmate and every soulmate is not a romantic love partner. This book goes in depth into thg intricate details.
I wish their were some more positive examples of Twin Flame unions that were successful, because I have noticed that a lot of people thrive on toxic relationships and call their toxic connections "twin flames," when in reality, they maybe dealing with a karmic.
Yikes! For those who are new to the concept the concept of twin flames, I suggest doing your own research and collecting more information on the subject matter. Overall, I think that the book is a good starting point for beginners venturing into the concept for the first time.

Unlike many other books on this topic the author attempts to offer more than one view of soul mates and twin flames. She further points out that these need not necessarily be romantic. Some of her spiritual interpretations and suggestions may not appeal to some, but there is room for personal adaptation.

I recently had the pleasure of reading "Soul Mates and Twin Flame: The Spiritual Dimension of Love and Relationship" by Elizabeth Prophet, and I must say, her knowledge and understanding of spiritual topics are truly remarkable. There were some really great insights in this quick read (pocket guide), and there were also a few items that far from resonated with my Soul, resulting in the 3.5 star rating.
As I'm continuing to move along my path, I'm constantly striving to learn more, to expand my way of thinking & to be open to the ideas of others.
Soul mates and karmic relationship themes have started to present themselves as underlying themes in some of my recent clients & encounters. The magnetic draw of these relationships is what has brought me to reexamine works by others in the Spiritual community for additional insight.
This is a quick & concise guide to the basic understanding of these relationships.
This book included biblical references & cites God as the higher power for all. For me, God & the Universe are one & the same, allowing me to read this book without issue. I wanted to share this information for those who may not feel the same, so they can decide if this book might be one worth exploring or not.

This is the first book that I read on the subject of twin flames. It was beautiful. How Clare Prophet lays out the concept is gorgeous as she uses her experience to detail what this magical connection can feel like. Through observations and other secondhand examples, Clare Prophet is able to describe this esoteric phenomenon in a way that is understandable. One specific secondhand example that Clare Prophet outlines in this book is extremely intriguing. She outlines this example in a beautiful way highlighting the authentic beauty of the original story. I will be reading more of her books, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to read this one. Applause.

If you want to understand the woo-adjacent concept of twin flames and soul mates, this is a good resource because it has informed a lot of the beliefs and terminology tied to twin flames especially. The author is notorious for being a failed doomsday prophet (to be fair, so far all doomsday prophets have been failed doomsday prophets) and her personal relationship with her own "twin flame" is extremely questionable, even problematic. But then that's twin flame stuff in a nutshell.

Very shallow and no deep core informations at all.
I wanted informations about the signs of Twin-Flames, the journey and mostly wanted to read about the sexual tension and the spiritual sexual connection (how it happens, what it feels like, how to tame it to raise your spirituality.)
Nothing about body illness nor signs of body pain and what it means.

A good chunk of the book the author uses to describe a Hollywood relationship. Afterwards, immediately goes off the deep end into some woo-woo concepts without taking the time to properly explain these concepts, such as the purple light.

I really enjoyed reading this one, and Ms Prophet has a thorough understanding of her subject. I rate this better than Soul Signs or Edgar Cayce on Soul Mates.

I saw down and read the book in one sitting. I loved the definition and distinctions between check type of love. My only problem with the book is its shortness of information. Its a good intro book but wish it was longer.
