This story tells us the process of how chocolate is made. Sounds delicious if you ask me. Starting from a cacao tree, workers chop them down and send them to a farm. The beans need to be fermented and cleaned before they can have that amazing chocolate aroma! Then, the send the clean, healthy beans to factories to be made into cocoa powder, baking chocolate, or chocolate candy. There is an entire process they go through to turn it into the chocolate we all know and love. They go through many different machines and many different people. A chocolate bar is not made overnight either. It may take two, four, maybe even more days just to make ONE candy bar. Next time you eat a piece of chocolate, remember the long process it had to go through just to get to you!
I loved this book! Learning how delicious chocolate is made is most definitely a book for me! The illustrations were wonderful and allowed me to fully understand some of the processes of how to make the chocolate.
This could be used in a classroom to teach students the value of what we have, even just a chocolate bar. I would recommend this book!
