Wolf Saga #1

Nicholas

Adam Lang didn’t really want to think about the history of his family. He didn’t want to delve into the rumors about curses, and werewolves, and madness. He barricaded himself inside his huge mansion, and let others run the world for him. Nicolas Ross, on the other hand, couldn’t stop thinking about the history of his family. The Lang's had cursed them, and as a result, he had been born a werewolf. He’d do anything to reverse the curse, including kidnapping the man who ruled the inner city, a plac

I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t written and told stories. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming about writing, doing something wild and adventurous, or trying to make the world a better and more open minded place to live in. I adore beautiful men, and I know I’m not alone in this! Eroticism between consenting adults, in all its many forms is the icing on the cake of life!

Star rating was 3. Cheating and a crap ending made it 2 stars. I read reviews for the rest of the series, apparently I won't get my HEA/HFN. It seems to me it really is a setup between the grandfathers and there drama. I was so looking forward to this story but it was such a let down at the end.

So we have our two main people, Nico and Adam. Rivals that fall in love. Yeah! Right, I love those types of books. Let us throw in that Nico is also a werewolf. Awesome. So far so good. Apparently some shit goes down between there grandfathers. A spell/curse want bad. We find out what really happened between the grandfathers later in the story. But before that, we have Nico and Adam running around trying to solve the mystery of the 'curse'. Nico wants to reverse it and lose his were ways and become mortal. We are setting up some chemistry and romance. Going good still. Then we get towards the end of the story and all of it goes to Hell.

SPOILERS!!!! I will be ranting, and I might let a few things slip. You have been WARNED.

So let's talk about what I personally like in a story. If there is going to be a romance(set up); I don't want any form of cheating. I WANT a HEA/HFN. I am not getting either of those in this story. Oh, but the one Adam and Nico cheat with is this almighty demon. Both of them were warned about deals, but they still go for it. In fact, I don't fault the demon at all. He kind of warned them up front also about his deal making. Nope, they still go with it.

Oh, then we have poor Adam boo hoo. He makes a deal with his deranged OMG he isn't dead grandpa. Adam talks to the demon AGAIN, this time to see Nico one last time... even if for a second. Nico. I mean really WTF Nico. You are separated for like less than a day. So you hop in bed with someone else. Yea, Adam is going to be pissed and hurt of course. No wonder it ends with Adam pretty much hops on ship with his crazy gramps for revenge. Communication is key, but really even if Nico 'explains' his 'reason' I still would be over that. Nico, I really am not pleased with you at all. Which is a real shame because I really liked him during the story but he HAD to go tick me off in the end.

With that rant ending, lets say I didn't want to be disappointed any more so I read the couple reviews from the last/next two books. It seems to me the storyline turns around and focuses more on the grandparents than Nico and Adam. It seems to be we don't ever find out if Nico and Adam resolve their issues.

I am not buying the rest of the books to just set myself up for disaster. It isn't worth my time or money. And because this is the first book I have read by this author, I don't think I will read any more stories by them.

When I started reading this book, I had low expectations as i knew it had a poor rating on GR, however I found it to be an engaging read, it held my attention and kept me interested all the way through! So, glancing at the reviews before I wrote my own, I noticed that there were only two other reviews written, which explains it. So let me tip the scales; I rather liked this book! It’s not long but it’s an interesting premise and I like the conflict introduced.

Adam is a spoiled rich guy who hides from the real world, indulging in sex with whores to save himself from boredom. He is aware he has an enemy in Nicolas Ross but he doesn’t seem very concerned and doesn’t really know too much about it. Nicolas on the other hand is a man on a mission, and Adams dark family history plays a part in his hatred but also is his chance at salvation. When Nico poses as a whore to get into Adams home the two finally meet and the physical attraction is immediate. I like how sexy Nico is with Adam, there's very good chemistry between them. When Adam demands that Nico tell him he loves him or he won’t be paid his money, it’s a bit revealing of Adams character, though Adam is not pathetic by any means.

In no time the two are forced into situations together, first it’s a kidnapping but things soon change, the adventure heats up and the two are forced to reconsider thier feelings for each other. The 'surprise reveal' moment in the story was not unexpected but I am excited to see that the second story delves into the other two men. As a warning there is 'wolfy sex' between werewolf and man but it was well written and to be honest I enjoyed it-I thought just about all the steamy scenes were pretty good actually.

So my recommendation is to try it, at least get a preview on your ereader and check it out. Certainly not a top tier book, nevertheless I think this was worth a look, and I will be reading the next in the series!

This book kept my eyes glued to the screen, so I was able to finish this read in one sitting. Overall a very good read. The cliffhanger endings are no longer enticing, they are bordering on irritating. That being said, I look forward to the next Wolf Saga.

Lul-wut, WTF, and a full bag of what-the-fuck-is-going-on?

SO many proofreading errors! Odd comma usage, choppy prose, confused character names, even spellcheck mistakes.

Huzzah, Nicolas pores over journals. Alas, Seymour cannot "bare" it if Adam were hurt.

Aside from the painfully prevalent proofreading errors that really hinder my reading process, it's got a sort of rawness that's actually quite visceral at times.

“You made your point of view well enough.”
Either "made your point of view clear enough" or "made your point well enough."

Still, plot-wise, it's quite the epic, even if towards the end, it starts feeling rather gimmicky. Maybe it's the execution?

And ouch. Whoever designed the cover got the MC's name wrong, which makes the title of the entry in GR technically wrong, too, since the title page says "Nicolas."
