I swear the only reason I persevere with this series is in the seemingly vain attempt that Hatsumi will stop being a doormat and ALL of the guys smarten up.
You know, Ryoki is a real douche nozzle... and Hatsumi is a huge idiot for "being in love with him." Characters like Ryoki really piss me off... it really pisses me off that women, both fictional and real, glorify and idolize abusive assholes like Ryoki. Because in literature, it always seems that those abusive jerks have a "change of heart" eventually and change their ways... and women in real life think that's what will happen if they are with an abusive dick... well, that doesn't happen in real life. So I really wish people would stop glorifying these assholes.
Beyond that, per usual, completely sucked in. I feel like I'm watching a TV show when I read this. Instead of binge watching, I want to binge read it :-p
I don't think much happened in this book, at least not anything too crazy that'll drive the plot further. I mean, maybeeee the part where Ryoki announces that him and Hatsumi are dating to the apartment complex. We could have some issues with that later on in the series (I'm pretty sure that'll happen). I'm getting frustrated with Ryoki and Hatsumi. I want them to be together because I could see them being in a healthy relationship if they both just chilled out, focused on one another, talked to one another, and then LISTENED to what the other person has to say. I understand why he's getting annoyed with Hatsumi, I mean she's so freaking dumb I can't stand it at this point LOL, but slapping her isn't going to fix anything. Hatsumi has to stop being so oblivious and try to understand Ryoki's POV more. IF they can do this than I think they can work towards a mature and healthy relationship! (Do I think that's going to happen? No! Why would it LOL)
Asahi is a disgusting man OMG how IS HE NOT ARRESTED? WHY ARE THEY ALL STILL ASSOCIATING WITH HIM? HE CLEARLY NEEDS HELP WITH HIMSELF AND HAS GONE THROUGH TRAUMA BUT THAT DOESNT GIVE HIM AN EXCUSE TO ACT THIS WAY!!!!!!!!!!
You know, just when this series looked like it was getting marginally better (Hatsumi is protected by Ryoki, things are coming out in the open in a good way, and even Azusa is getting his head back on straight) we get to just about the last page and Ryoki becomes an a$$ all over again. :P
THAT WAS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR!
Seriously, someone needs to give that boy a good talking to....you DO NOT treat ANY girl like that you MORON!
Ryoki’s father; Mr. Tachibana is kinda dashing for an old man. Uwu. Ryoki’s attitude is really making me starting to unship them. First, he kinda left Hatsumi at the hotel eventhou it’s his fault for sleeping in the first place?! Then he slap Hatsumi for not answering his call? What in the world.. Plus he had the audacity to slap Hatsumi infront of his parents and Hatsumi’s onechan (including Azusa). Man.. abusive partner is a big no for me eventhou you’re that hot to begin with.
Anyway, it seems that there is more drama evolved around Shinogu’s status as adoptive child and Azusa drama about his mother affair and who’s the guy her mother is having affair with.
Ormai mi mancano solo cinque volumetti, ma il mio giudizio su questa serie non cambia. Ecco, potremo avvicinarci a 1,5 stelline...
This manga series has always been frustrating (see my reviews of the previous volumes!), but this one was REALLY frustrating. WHY DOES HATSUMI GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ASUZA'S WELL-BEING? LIKE WHY? Yes, I know he was nice to her when they were freaking kids, but that boy should be rotting in jail for what he did to her.
And Ryoki slaps Hatsumi! He freaking slaps her!
Ryoki - one step forward, seventy million steps backward.
Not sure where the writer is going to be going because each volume I feel like they flip flop between what guy is going to be a ass and who's going to be nice to Hatsumi and swoop in this volume. I kinda hope that the story will pick up a little more soon since I am more than half way done with it.
I no longer feel bad when Hatsumi gets herself hurt. The further into the series we go the more se see that Hatsumi is causing the problems for herself. Yes, it is sweet that she won't just give up on Azusa because they were such good friends, even though he deserves to be left hurt. However, repeatedly Hatsumi makes decisions that are not in her best interest or the best interest of the people that she wants so desperately to care about. She goes against what people tell her not to, and then she gets hurt. I don't feel bad because she is making dumb decision after dumb decision.
This volume is pretty boring. Hatsumi seems to only be interested in guys who treat her badly, and keeps doing things that hurt her/those around her. Also - this apartment complex is so fucked up. Seriously, it's like a friggin' soap opera.
Sweet to see more of Subaru and Akane, but do they need their own drama arc too?!
There are hardly any redeemable qualities to any of the characters and Hatsumi really is so naive. I personally find Ryoki to be the most interesting though he is probably the worst character. I am digging these new secrets that are emerging and I know it's trashy romance...but I can't stop reading. 6.5/10
