Smell the fragrant aroma of the Old South, complete with fanning slaves and laced petticoats. Some of the situational and character transitions are 'sloppy' but there remains enough "magnolias and moonlight" to fluff the majority of hoop skirts found in this delicious read. Though the spoiled Briana is as poutey as they come, her personal hardships mimic that of Scarlett O'hara. Depending on your taste for drama or cotton, there is something for everyone in this vintage drugstore gem. Recommended.
