The H and h were in love with each other when they were both 17 years old. Due to a misunderstanding they broke up.
She went on to marry another man. Four years ago that man died so she is now a widow.
Now they are 46 years old. She has three children and even a grandson. He has never married someone else. He has never forgotten her.
At that point I stopped reading. This isn’t a story line I like or that I find romantic. They were apart for almost 30 years, she’s a grandmother now. He did what a besotted person does. She on the other hand just moved on. Don’t waste my time with this.
DNF.
