This book is extremely dated and nowadays some of the suggested foods are now introduced later (dairy, nuts). The recipes don't seem that helpful (maybe I'll make the teething biscuits) and it's lacking it portion suggestions. The author tries really hard to convince parents that they should make their own babyfood, but I already do (that's why I sought out this book!)
My mom pulled this out of the attic from her time as a mother, and it was surprisingly current (despite being published in the '80s), although there were a few things that I didn't think were quite recommendable for today's baby. I am trying to get excited about the world of "real food" eating that James will begin before I know it.
