Solid theology of Biblical counseling. While this is more of an overview, I was slightly surprised by the lack of time spent on heart desires/motives. It is very heavy on the “put off” and “put on” principle but didn’t seem to go deep enough into why someone was doing what they were doing in the first place (deep enough into the heart). In that regard, there are other theology of biblical counseling books I would recommend before this book. Besides that, it had a good discussion on the history of clinical pastoral counseling, authority of Scripture, and basic counseling practices. (I did notice there were several grammar and punctuation errors though).
This book is a complete introduction to biblical counseling and is very easy on the layman’s eyes. The authors and editors offer compelling reasons for Christians to counsel from the Bible and I feel that they proved that any other kind of counseling is weak in comparison.
Excelente livro.
Recomendaria!
