The simplistic cover and title of this book were very misleading about the wisdom and depth between the covers. I expected a book about how to communicate with animals written in a style geared at young adults. I found instead pages and pages of insight and wisdom about the meaning of life and death, and the evolution and interconnectedness of all species, conveyed not just from the author's perspective but dozens of human and animal teachers. The concepts of working with dreams and shapeshifting were introduced to me again in a way I had never thought of them before. I was inspired and blown away by some of the ideas in this book for going deeper within myself and enhancing my spiritual growth. I was also moved to think about my life's purpose in a new light.

This is a book I wish has been available when I was a teen--and it made me wish that every high school student had to read this book as part of the curriculum. What a difference it could make in how we view and interact with the world and all creatures!
