Fantastic Hot little short story!

Wow, it’s amazing how the loss of a love one or the cruelty of abuse can kill us spiritually on the inside to the point that life just doesn’t matter anymore. In this wonderful story, 2 wolf-shifters from different packs find themselves in this boat.

Cash has lost his mate and with that loss, he is dead inside and becomes a rogue wolf when he leaves his pack because he is in so much pain. Rylie is forced to mate to a wolf who she despises, a wolf who killed her parents and claimed her against her will. Rylie rather die than continue to be abused by the brute so she decides to leave her pack and run from her mate.

Fate however, has a way of working things out as Cash and Rylie’s paths cross. The wolves find themselves revived and become a live again as the feelings for one another are awakened. The story is awesome and has a great HEA. The erotica was very well written and I just enjoyed the story all the way around.

A Broken Bond is a quick and hot novella, with a little danger, adventure and some steaming sex. This would make for a good read when you have a lot to do, but would still like to get some reading in. I liked the characters and the story. I really liked the way the hero and heroine was caught braking the bond from her former mate.

This story had the potential to be really good, and parts of it were, but taken together as a whole, I was disappointed. Cash and Rylie's entire relationship is based on lies, which I can't stand. And not just a little lie either, but a great big one in WW society apparently. Cash is written to be this big, bad rogue WW but he comes across (to me anyway) as completely beta, again something I'm not a fan of. Cash also highly ticked me off with his reaction when Rylie's lies came to light and I was DONE with him after that point. There is an HEA but for me it was too little too late.

The writing itself if fine and has a nice flow but I was simply not a fan of this story in any way whatsoever.

I liked this story a lot.
It did make you feel for the main characters, maybe a little more for Riley and you learned a lot about the wolf pack mentality and way of life (so many rules btw :P), but I would have loved it if it was longer.
Just when I wanted to enjoy a little delving into the characters, their feelings, their thoughts it ended.
I know it was a short story, so by default you don't have the luxury of having pages and pages of description, emotions or action but the desire between Cash and Riley was a bit too fast for me. Then again they are wolves, so carnal desire runs deeper with them, or so I have come to understand after having read shifter books!

Overall,quite an enjoyable read. :)
I will be reading more of Stacey Kennedy's books.

Thank-you for the chance to read this

This is my first book by Stacey Kennedy and the first book of the Wolf Track series I’ve ever tried.
I must say that for what it was, I liked this novella. In all honesty, I’m not a big fan of short stories, as I tend to feel like they’re rushed and just when I tend to get into them, they’re over. And those were my only issues with this.
I felt like Cash and Rylie didn’t really know each other too well before they were together, but I understand that that’s in the nature of these kinds of tales and that stories where mate play a role are often like that. I liked Cash. He was tough hero and I understood his pain. I was glad that he found happiness with Rylie, who I thought was okay by the way, and I was happy with the storyline and how this ended.

A Broken Bond is a bit of an anti-climatic read, or it was for me. By the end of the book I was expecting some action, fighting, blood-shed, some form of violence from the villain of the book but nada, nothing, he was just mean and creepy and sadly this ruined A Broken Bond for me a little. Other than that I thought A Broken Bond was a sweet, different, interesting read that I liked.

Rylie is in a bad situation. She's been forced to mate the new alpha after he killed her alpha parents. There are some important rules that bind her to this mating, but she's willing to risk it all to get away from this monster. Cash is a broken shell of a man who has been completely useless to those around him since his mate died. Everything changes for him when Rylie runs into his car begging for help.

Through the magic of fate, Rylie is exactly what Cash needs. She forces him to confront his issues and actually become a better person. He has to reevaluate everything he thought he knew about himself, but the rewards are worth it.

Cash has been a lone wolf since the death of his mate. He abandoned the rest of his pack, but has just come to visit his sister.
Rylie is on the run from the powerful alpha who has taken over her pack and claimed her. She would rather die than stay with the man who killed her parents.
A very good short and sexy story that starts a series. Our hero has lost his confidence, and sees himself as worthless. Our heroine needs a champion. Has she thrown herself from the frying pan into the fire ?
Normally such a short story would not get 5 stars but this was fun. I will be looking for the rest of this series.

A Broken Bond by Stacey Kennedy is a short story focused on Cash and Rylie. A Broken Bond is fast paced and contained lots of heat! I thought at first that it would bother me that most of what they knew about each other was not very…well truthful. However, the story came together and worked. Cash and Rylie just seemed to fit together with their broken pasts and heartache. An interesting point was touched on in A Broken Bond – what would happen if your mate was an abusive psycho? I am not a huge fan of short stories, but I enjoyed this one! It was short, sweet, and hot!

I really enjoyed this Novella/Short Story. I felt it could have been longer though to develop the feelings of the hero and heroine. Often within short stories, that bond doesn't develop and while yes, they loved each other, it was more of an ingrained bond than what they knew of each other. Still a good story with a little character development for each the hero and heroine and had a great deal of emotion for such a short story. I just wish there was more of it.

When I read the summery of this novel I saw potential, when I read it I still saw potential..but unfortunately that was all it was. It was a very short novel ( seem to me like 10 pages...it wasnt that short though lol) and more of an erotic novel more than anything, yes there is some fighting but that was one scene-like I said it could have been more than what it was darn it.

So I don't know if I would really consider this a Book. It's more of a short story. I mean it's like less than 100 pages and took me less than 30mins to finish it. But over all it was an ok book .
