This is Book 2 of the serial series 'Great Wolves of Passion, Alaska'. It's available at Siren/Bookstrand in monthy installments.

I like this monthly serial about scientist Eve McMillan and the Dillon pack that's trying to convince Eve that she's their destined mate. Eve is there studying wolves in the wild.

The Dillon 'pack' consists of Noah - the Alpha - his brother, Ethan - also a scientist - and their cousins. They control a vast section of Alaskan wilderness that also is home to bear and arctic fox shifters.

We also are introduced to Noah and Ethan's parents in this installment. Their very handsome father is the ex-Alpha of the pack.

In this installment, Eve is bothered by the emotional distance she thinks she is experiencing from Noah since the attack on Ethan. She just doesn't have much experience with men and doesn't understand Noah's responsibilities.

For Noah's part, the inattention he has been having because of Eve has left him feeling guilty that the attack on Ethan was his fault (Alpha angst, lol). As a human, Eve reacts differently to almost everything than Noah thinks she should - she is too independent and argumentative.

At least by now, they have fallen in love with each other, and Eve is beginning to understand what makes the Alpha act as he does. For his part, Noah is beginning to understand Eve - if only a little.

Very dramatic ending to the installment and we were given a small glimpse of the attackers and their possible motive.

There is sex of all sorts in this book (group, oral, anal, mild spanking), but it's less pervasive than the story line, which is wonderful, and the sex scenes don't take up an inordinate amount of pages that one tends to skip through after one or two scenes.

Eve is a likeable heroine, intelligent and not a 'feisty, crude' woman. Noah is a likeable Alpha that is suddenly having to deal with a crisis on top of a new mate. The brother Ethan functions well as the intelligent Beta that is a go-between in the Eve/Noah relationship as does Shane, the affectionate and playful cousin.

Kiera West is doing a great job with this serial series, and I would hope that she compiles it into a single book at some point. I'd buy it again.

Much like the first one so I don't really have anything to say about it that's not in my first review. This one mainly focuses on Eve and the Alpha of the group, Noah, as the title implies.

I do think it was slightly better than the first book, or at least would have been for me, if the author didn't try to put those elements of Dominance/submission in it. Not that I hate that in books, but if you're going to use it, it should be something that is firmly established in the story as part of the characters' personalities and not just something you throw in to one or two sex scenes. Because then it just feels like cheesy role playing during foreplay and not the serious aspect of the character that the author wanted it to be.

Oh, and again it ends with a cliff hanger, so I'm off to part 3...

Welcome back to Passion, Alaska, the daytime temperatures may run cold but there are plenty of hot blooded shifters to warm up the nights. In the second installment of this terrific series the focus is primarily on the building relationship between Noah and Eva.

Eva is a little intimidated by the thought of loving six men but Alpha shifter, Noah Dillon, is currently causing her the most internal stress. If he doesn’t stop blowing hot and cold with his emotions he’s going to have more than an unknown evil out to harm or kill the members of the Dillon pack to worry about. To quote Noah’s own thoughts when thinking about the prior Alpha, his father, “… he had held a lot of power, but all of them knew the one person they had to answer to was their mate.”

Ms. West has a wonderfully vivid writing style that draws the reader into the story from the very beginning. Noah has an intensity about him that vibrates off the page. He’s in the stressful position of being the newest Alpha of his pack and not being able to keep everyone safe. As an Alpha he has to be in control of the situation or he appears weak. He mistakenly thinks he has to protect everyone, especially Eva, even at the cost of her trust.

The emotions displayed by Eva are even more palpable. Ms. West created a beautifully strong character in Eva MacMillan. The reader can feel her anxiety and apprehension in regards to the idea of these men being other than 100% human. She’s overwhelmed by her own attraction to each of the Dillon men and those emotions boil over more than once in this short story. Ms. West brings the reader right into the room with Noah and Eva wither they are fighting each other or simply fighting their combustible chemistry. One of my favorite lines in the book comes from Eva trying to keep Noah from distracting her. She tells him “You touch me, and I lose all ability to think”.

If strong characterization and layered plots are what draw you to a book, you won’t want to miss the Great Wolves series. These are not stand alone books but each story focuses on getting to know one of the men and seeing how they develop a bond with their mate. Book 3 can’t come out soon enough for this reviewer but until then pick up The Alpha’s Fall if you’re already invested in the series or it isn’t too late to see how it all began with Seducing Their Mate. Join me in Passion, Alaska for this wonderful adventure. You’ll be glad you did!

Noah is the Alpha of the Dillon family and is conflicted between finding the one female who can sedate all of his packs needs and finding out who is trying to destroy all that is important to his kind. The decision to introduce Eve MacMillan, their destined mate, to the shape-shifter world has spun each member of the pack into their own delirium. Noah blames his lack of self control when it comes to Eve for the consequences of the wolves in Passion, Alaska being slaughtered, as well as his brother, Ethan being attacked and left for dead. He needs to bring order back to the pack and for him to do that is to push Eve away and deny his true feelings.

Eve is getting herself deeper involved with the Dillon pack and more and more questions are being unanswered or even avoided. She feels Noah pulling away from her and she has no idea of how to stop it. Eve knows that if she let's the Alpha go she will lose the only love she has ever had and that would be soul destroying.

This novella carries straight on from where Seducing Their Mate finished and has the same tempo and sexy fun. The Alpha's Fall is another quick read that adds a bit more to the continuing story, but mainly focuses on the relationship between the pack and Eve. The erotic scenes between Eve and her Dillon men are well written, sexy and hot, but my favourite scenes are when it is just Eve and Noah. The intensity of Noah's lovemaking is such that there is noway Eve can disrepute how he feels about her. There is just enough of the background story to keep the momentum going and prevents it from just being page after page of pure erotic indulgence.

I loved watching Noah fall hard for Eve! This book revolves mostly around Eve and Noah again, although we see and know more of the Dillons, primary Ethan, in this one. Noah is struggling between his duty of Alpha and his feelings for Eve. He feels responsible for the person going after the wolves being able to harm them, and tries to put a distance between him and Eve. However, Eve won't have any of it. I loved it. Eve is still dealing with the situation of having feelings for the Dillons, and she lets Noah know that she isn't happy that he is creating distance between them. I loved how Eve feels more comfortable with the boys and shows more of her personality. She totally lets Noah have it and I loved it! The sex scenes were still super hot, but I loved the tension between Noah and Eve and the deepening mystery.

The pov switches every now and then to the villain, and normally that annoys the heck out of me because I feel like villains should be seen but not heard, lol. However in this series it totally works. I think it works because while we get the villains pov, the reader still doesn't know who they are and what their motives are behind everything.

This one ends with a major cliffhanger, and I was so glad I waited to read this series because I immediately went and bought number three.

Eve MacMillian is having her world tilted on it’s end. She has just found out that the men she is coming to love might just be werewolves. Add to this the fact that someone appears to be out to get them, and that the pack alpha (Noah) knows she is his mate but it appears he might not really act on this. Noah feels that he has neglected his pack while he was pursuing Eve, and now he is pulling away from her, even if it hurts to ignore her. But as Eve fights to help the men she is starting to think of as her own she also realizes that Noah just might need to be taught a thing or two about love.

Hang onto your furry hide Noah, she is pretty determined.

I am hooked! Not only do I want to see how things turn out in the end for Eve and her men but, I hope the Vic and the bears get their own story. I am entranced by the world Ms. West has written and how she has made it seem like having more than one man just might be the right answer. I was pulled in from the start of The Alpha’s Fall and was extremely disappointed when it ended due to the fact I wanted to see what happened to the group next. The Alpha’s Fall should be read after Seducing Their Mate as it gives you the start to this story and will help tie things together.

A fun read and the second in this 8-part series of novellas. Highlighting a powerful and caring Alpha, this story is about balancing responsibilities to the pack with commitment to one's mate. It is also a very good story of one human woman teaching some colorful and powerful shifters what it means to love. These are not stand-alone stories and really should be read in sequence to get the full gammit of the tales. Each story is built on the preceeding ones. Another very good read from Kiera West.

This book was a huge step back from the first one. Noah annoyed the living crap out of me. He was mopey and moody and needed to drink a big glass of 'man the fuck up'. I am going to continue reading at least one more book in the series. I am hoping that it was just Noah that rubbed me the wrong way.

When I first found this series, I was impressed. It was my kind of series. Although there is more men than I'm use to reading about in one novel.

I did not like this one. I hope that the next one is better because this one was disappointing.
