USA Today and #1 Sunday Times bestselling author Sarah Morgan writes romance and contemporary women's fiction and her trademark humour and warmth have gained her fans across the globe. Sarah lives near London, England, and when she isn't reading or writing she loves being outdoors.
Look out for Sarah's latest novel - All Together for Christmas (UK title)/ A Merry Little Lie (US/Canadian title)
The heroine is desperate to get $5 million from her trouser snake ex because their secret plot moppet has been kidnapped.
She'd never known fear like it.
The H refuses to believe there is any kid, but will give her the cash if she is his mistress for two weeks.
She’s desperate so okay plus she misses her Rico Suave ways. She shows a modicum of backbone...once after they have sex again. I guess you could call it her down payment.
Well, I thought that five million dollars required an above average performance on my part.’ Her casual tone drew a quick frown from him but she turned and strolled into the bathroom with what she hoped was a convincing degree of indifference.
Two weeks later she’s STILL in bed with the H. Where’s the kid? Who did the drop-off? I was literally laughing/scoffing at her cavalier attitude. Wouldn’t you rush home to see your KIDNAPPED child? No, the allure of electric sex with the Brazilian H is too much. She even hides when she talks to her son.
He wants her to stay because he is the Mister Mister. To quote Naksed, it is barftastic.
He was entirely confident that exercising physical restraint for a short time would pay dividends in the bedroom. All he needed to make his investment complete were pretty flowers, good wine and plenty of delicious food and the smile would soon be back on her face.
Easy, he thought to himself as he strode purposefully towards the kitchen to brief his chef and his housekeeper. Handling women was no different from any other business negotiation. It was just a question of identifying their weakness, and then moving in for the kill.
********************
‘Because you’re not going home. I thought we both agreed that.’
‘Did we or did we not,’ he enquired in silky tones, ‘spend the entire night making love?’
Her face heated at the memory and the breath caught in her throat. ‘Yes, but—’
His dark head lowered towards hers, an arrogant smile on his sexy mouth. ‘And was it, or was it not, the most mind-blowing experience of your life?’
***************************** ‘You want me to live with you?’ She was so stunned that her voice cracked and he gave a smile loaded with an abundance of male self-confidence.
‘Of course. The sex between us is simply amazing. I’d have to be out of my mind to let you go. So you stay. As my mistress. Until we decide that we’ve had enough of each other.’
Quite the silver tongued charmer!
Finally, and I mean finally she tears herself away. He follows because…lust. Not because of his son who he still believes is imaginary.
The penny drops and now she’s scum for not barreling past his flalanx of minders.
I can only think of one other Sarah Morgan book that I hated this much. So frustrating when such a talented writer wastes her ability to write a love story by writing about a disgusting man and idiot woman who luck into a poor, defenseless child they can TOTALLY screw up. I read another review stating that unless the father is Darth Vader, he must be told about the child. But I don't think this wasn't really a secret baby book because heroine tried several times to tell Luc about her pregnancy, including by staging a visit to his office to beg for an appointment...he had her escorted to the airport to make sure she left the country. He treated her like crap BEFORE she used his credit cards to buy a flat in London and baby things. Why would you ever trust such a man not to cause irreparable harm to a child.
Oh, and he WAS Darth Vader. He seduced and emotionally abused an 18 year old girl, demanded that she quit her job and give up her apt to be his plaything, and then abandoned her without compensation, immediately moving on to rampant sex with other women for 7 years while she stays frozen. He's lowlife scum and she's a moron, I HATED her for going 7 years without seeking a real relationship...she did not rebuild her life, sure she got a job but what kind of example is it for a child to have a lonely icicle for a parent and no decent shot at a father? So she was put off men because he was a bastard but really what happened is that she wasn't as turned on by anyone else. This is because she is mentally ill. Yes, her father was a womanizing lowlife and she believed herself to be in love with an even worse slime. Talk about psycho daddy issues.
This book was about lust and how she was such a psycho that she couldn't find a good man to love because only an abuser would be "hot" to her. How could she possibly "love" Luc...there is NOTHING worthy of love in him...she just liked the sex so decided that was love...well, it isn't. This wasn't a romance, it was low grade porn with an evil, sociopathic, abusive hero. His big confession about how he loved her so much that he cheated and he had to be with at least 84 other women, maybe double that, after dumping her to avoid caring about someone? Calling BULLS**t. Maybe she should have taken the proceeds from a few gift basket sales and gotten herself some therapy. Then she could have realized that abandoning her JUST THREATENED child for 2 weeks to have sex for the first time in 7 years makes her a really crappy mother. Oh, and of course she was sex-starved, what normal person wouldn't be?
And don't get me started on the stupidity of depositing $5 million with a kidnapper to prevent a kidnapping...what do you do when they demand $10m? Why would she think that would work? The plot was as stupid as the heroine.
I am very much to blame for everything that has happened to you and for that I am truly sorry. My only defence is that you were so very different from every other woman I've ever met.’ First part was totally correct but the excuse was frucking bullsh*t! If he'd have groveled more, like forever, it would be 5 stars rating for the OTT unbelievable drama. Lol ******** Re-read made me realize the plot holes as deep as the Mariana Trench!
The grovel and explanation at the end lifted this from a two star to a three star rating. Hero was a caveman at the beginning and progressed to human quite nicely. SM did a great job with his characterization. The heroine on the hand . . .
Her six year-old son is being threatened in London and she takes off to Brazil to get the ransom/blackmail money and stays for two weeks having scorching sex with the hero? I just couldn't believe she could park her anxiety and concern about her only child's safety like that. So throughout the middle of the story, all I could think of was - what about the son? Is he all right? The other shoe is going to drop.
Probably not where the author wanted my attention focused.
Another mark against the heroine: there is no excuse not to tell the hero he has a son until he is in danger of being kidnapped. I can see being in a sleep-deprived snit for a year or two - but six years?
The h is being blackmailed with harm to her son. She goes to the H, who is the seekrit daddy, to ask for help.
He dumped her years earlier when he was getting too involved with her and when she tried to tell him she was preggers he refused to talk to her and made her leave the country.
They wind up in an affair again and then he follows her home and finds out about his son.
He wants marriage, but he has to work for it this time around and the highlight of this story for me was when she hands him an itemized list of receipts for the money she spent while using his credit card, like buying a flat and caring for her son after he dumped her.
In a heartwarming symbol of his devotion, he compliments her on her investment skills as the flat has appreciated in value. He also felt ashamed that his other GF's spent more than she did on their wardrobes and she felt she had to keep an accounting.
Needless to say he proves his true love with bells on and HEA all around.
Good story and the H comes along nicely from alphaholeness. I loved her requirements for his learning new words like compromise, flexiblity and also that he couldn't spend all his time with her in bed.

This story had so quite a few plot holes. My review is riddled with spoilers, so don't read through the spoiler part below if you plan on diving into this story. The ending is where the story FINALLY turns itself around and redeems itself from some of the ridiculousness that was in the rest of it. I really did enjoyed the ending with these two finally sorting out their issues and finding their way to their long overdue HEA.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
They have lots and lots and lots of sex. But only after she gave him a mindblowing BJ, he changed his attitude towards her and he suddenly wanted to talk to her. 🙄
This wasn’t a romance. This was sex. All he could talk about was the great sex they had. For my taste there was too much emphasis on sex.
This book is somewhat sillier than most. Seven years ago, Kimberley had an affair with billionaire Luc. It ended, she was pregnant, and he refused to take her two phone calls or see her that one time she showed up at his office. So she went home to London, bought herself a flat and a bunch of nappies with the credit cards he’d given her, and settled down to raise her secret baby.
As the book opens, Kimberley has received a kidnapping threat for her son, along with a demand for 5 million dollars. She flies to Brazil, and this time actually manages to get a meeting with billionaire Luc, who is still cranky about how she cleaned out the credit cards, because that was just rude. Ladies: spend the money BEFORE the relationship ends, not after. Billionaires: cancel the credit cards, THEN break up with the girl. Then you could have this kind of cruel but funny scene where girlfriend goes to pay for something and the payment is declined, and the shop assistant shows her the cancelled docket and it reads: declined code: dumped. There are probably loads of banks that would offer a credit card product like that, because rich means endless customisation opportunities and banks are jerks.
Luc doesn’t believe the stuff about the son, and Kimberley’s attempts to convince him are pretty half-hearted, really. She has a threatening letter, but it probably looks pretty amateur, so although he doesn’t come out and say it, he appears to think she’s written it herself. Kimberley’s very pretty and has red hair, but she’s not too bright. Although neither is Luc, really. However, Luc is prepared to give Kimberley her 5 million, in exchange for some sexy times.
Kimberley spends too long being outraged by this suggestion. 5 million is really a lot of money and when you say that you’re prepared to do anything for it, surely you must have had some idea that anything might turn out involve sex. Maybe even some quite freaky stuff that could be anything from mildly uncomfortable to downright unpleasant. I mean, it would make sense if she was pretty surprised by the whole thing, given the way the breakup turned out, and maybe she’d gone in there thinking that she could come up with some sort of repayment plan, but ‘have sex with me on my private island for two weeks’ is actually a pretty light sentence. Plus … several pages of outrage after you’ve flown 12 hours and are convinced that this the only way you’ll save your son? A better answer would have been: fine, on the desk or on the floor?
Kimberley and Luc enjoy their 2 weeks of sex and a little bit of mild kink. The whole point of their relationship is that all he really wants to do is go to bed with her, and I’m never really convinced that he finds anything else about her interesting. Luc’s the type of guy who barks out commands and listens to about one word in ten, and gets away with it because he’s rich and hot. There’s also this kind of innocence behind his simplistic view of the world, and there’s enough hints that he’s more into her than he realises for this to be vaguely endearing rather than completely irritating.
Kimberley’s frustrated that he won’t talk to her about his past; because she thinks that knowing how he grew up will help. The magic of backstory! Revelations equal intimacy! A sad childhood not only explains but excuses all the bad stuff! She’s all about how she’s in love with him and miserable because he doesn’t want anything else but sex, and she can’t resist him because the sex is just too good, even though she should resist him because that’s all he wants and she wants more. Honestly, I can get this emotionally fraught about whether or not to buy an ipad mini, so I’m not really convinced that her anguish is such a big deal.
When the two weeks are up, Luc takes Kimberley back to London and is completely flummoxed to discover that the son does in fact exist. They then have a repeat of the conversation from the beginning of the book about how she should have tried harder to tell him, because having his baby and not telling him is a big deal. There’s one excuse for a secret baby: you’ve been impregnated by Darth Vader. If a romance heroine is seriously convinced her baby’s father is going to raise the child evil, then she is duty bound to keep it secret. If she somehow finds out that he’s not Darth Vader, she should apologise, and attempt to reasonably point out how she came to mistake him for the villain, without coming across as too insane and defensive.
Anything else is pretty tricky to justify, because discounting all the other important stuff about family and relationships, secret baby is bad manners. Sure, a heroine can be massively irritated and not tell him for a little while, but not telling him at all, or waiting until the child is in danger or needs a blood transfusion or something: that’s pretty low. If the hero is not Darth Vader and has really cut off contact, then some sort of vague form letter, sent at monthly intervals to his last known address, is probably sufficient evidence that she’s at least made an attempt. Something along the lines of: ‘Dear X, we have important unfinished relationship business that must be discussed, but that I feel should not be disclosed in this letter. Please contact me at (address) at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Y’ sent at regular intervals would barely fulfil the obligation.
The son at least gives them something to talk about, so along with the sex it all sort of works out to be a relationship, and he is a billionaire with his own island and plane, which is nothing to be sneezed at.
Heroine- annoying as heck. She dragged the enjoyment of this book down to 1 star. She gives into instalust while her child is threatened. This isn't really a romance cause the romance isn't convincing rather it's a lustmance. The story takes second seat to the hero/heroine's lust. If one is looking for a deep romance pass this by. If one is looking for a short lustmance this is the book.
So I noticed some great 4 star reviews for this. Since I seem to be a higher rater than most, I figured it would easily be a 4 for me. However, it only eked out a 3 from me and that was only due to the last 2 chapters.
I will be honest, I read the first 4 chapters and was getting irritated(bored? Not sure) Anyhoo, I jumped past the next 2 and 1/2 chapters to get to the part where she goes back to London. I then read til the end, was happy with those chapters and decided to trudge back to chapter 5. I really hate to abandon books. I do have a few I have started and abandoned with the intention of picking up again some day. I didn’t read reviews ahead of time, just looked at star ratings. This book just didn’t do it for me but I think some people would be happy with it.
Things I liked: *The h had itemized receipts for the upbringing of their child that she presented to the H. Plus, she didn’t take the martyr approach and allow herself to live in a grotty bedsit. Nope, she took the H’s credit cards and made sure their son was taken care of. I mean he refused to see her and had her escorted out of the country. (Unfortunately she was celibate while the horn dog H had copious amounts of sex over the years) *The h took control in the bedroom and it was hot, in fact the sex scenes overall were hot. *The ending! That last 2 chapters gave me some angst.
This book is apparently about how important it is to have college education. Heroine is as naïve now as she was when she was eighteen and met hero for the first time. She is not able to think straight when it comes to blackmailer and the whole probable abduction situation. Who pays ransom for probable abduction? That's just ridiculous. I'm definitely in the wrong kind of business if you can get money as easily as this. And how can you transfer money into account when you have no name of the receiver? And last time I checked money transfers were traceable. And how could Luc made that transfer and didn't see whose account it was? Well, may be it is different in Brazil and GB, but I'm not buying it. Everything seems like some kind of retarded fairy-tale. As I was not buying that mother didn't have a single picture of a child (checked what year the book was published and wondered if there were smartphones around in 2006) even if she saw him everyday. No photo shoots in six years? Really? Especially if you are going to another part of the world to ask child's father for the money. Wouldn't he need a proof that you really had him? Ok, no pics. Why not birth certificate then? She arrives at his door empty-handed and then complains that he doesn't believe her. I would not believe her too if I were him. Especially after learning how wealthy he is. I now wonder if he was a self-made man how old was he? I don't remember his age being mentioned but he had transatlantic company with offices in all major cities. Was that May-December relationship then? The blackmailer was another unclear thing. Why wait seven years? He didn't have anything better to do? That must be a big grudge he held, unless he was in prison for those seven years.... Did Luc put him in prison and not just fired him? That could do the trick. But he was really stupid. Was paid 5M and then came back for more after just six weeks. He knew Luc was around and Rio was well protected now but still chose to ask for more. He should have really thought her stupid enough. And well... she kinda was. Couldn't think straight for one minute. Another interesting question that bothered me: how you can buy a flat with a credit card? I just can't get my head around that one. Shouldn't there be a limit on spending? Or how can you pay such a big sum with other person's credit card? Shouldn't they ask for your ID? He saw her spending so much money and never bothered to check what she spent them on? How can you manage that? Closed the left side of the bill with one hand and left only numbers? Well, all those things just spoiled it for me. Even hero being possessive caveman was not as disturbing as all this stuff.
Hero and heroine had brief affair, then he dumped her and called her a gold digger. When she tried contacting him again the next day he ignored her, when she tried coming to his office to see him, he put her on a place back to her own country. What he didn't know was, she was trying to tell him that she was carrying his child. Now eight years have past and her seven year old son is in danger, so she goes to the hero for help. He doesn't believe her but he'll help her for two weeks in her bed. She agrees and everything is fine until the hero finds out there really is a child in the picture, his son.
It was a good read, the story was good, the tension-anger-Kimberly's desperation,pain-hurt-love for Rio & Luc had me glued till the end,Luc wanted tos mack him in the head with something very heavy his "I-am-squeaky-clean-fault-lies-with-world"attitude frustrated me,from my POV both Luc-Kimberly still had to work on trust and understanding part of their relationship cause even after coming such a long way yet again Kimberly hides the blackmailing call from Luc and Luc jumps to conclusion, once his mind is calm he gets to his senses but fact remains he jumped to conclusion
For me the story would have been a lot better if that 2 weeks deal ended soon or in between Luc's finds out about he fathered a child and Kimberly was telling the truth all along and rest book wanted to see Luc grovel but sadly we get no grovelling or even regret from Luc which disappointed me,wanted to see Kimberly more stronger
Overall i enjoyed the second half of the book more Recommend it
*******Spoilers below! Read at your own risk!*******
Meh! It was okay. Not my favorite work from Sarah Morgan. Luc's over the top, typical latin man machismo was tiresome. Kimberley's weakness for him annoyed me! She went to visit her ex lover to ask for money to save a son he has no clue about, but doesn't even bring a picture of her son with her?! Every mother carries their kids pictures in their wallets, cell phones, lockets, etc... Then she abandons her child with a friend for 2 weeks to have sex with Luc...ummm, NO! I just had a hard time getting through this book. The only redeeming bit; Luc handcuffed to the bed! That was delish!!!
It's sort of strange that I hold Sarah Morgan up as a Presents author that I want everyone to aspire to when I don't actually like so many of her titles. I think it's because when I get one of hers that I love, it's exactly right, but then when I get one that doesn't work for me, I'm actually harder on it than I would have been if it were a random one I grabbed from the library.
Alas, this is one of the ones that didn't work for me at all. It's a secret baby book, which I don't always hate, but then the hero blackmails the heroine into sex because he doesn't believe her that she's being blackmailed over the secret baby, and it's just a mess from there.
Kimberley was absolutely pathetic ! she actually got back wid luc who had used her and rejected her 7 years before. I was so annoyed when she confessed dat she had been wid no OM since him. How pathetic can you get!? He did not even believe her when she told him about their son and the blackmail. What had she done to deserve this!? Der was no misunderstanding instigated by evil mama or OW.
This guy may have been a smart billionaire but he was a putz jerk in my opinion. However, it was a good story and the guy pulled his brains out of his little head and put them back in the big one by the end of the story for that classic HP HEA.
Sillier than usual. I am still not sure why I bother to periodically read one of these. I guess I hope to find some romance in there somewhere and there is NONE, not a sliver to be found. Maybe I will write my own romance!
Kimberly has received a blackmail note asking for 5 million. (too bad that we are not privy to the contents of this note) Kimberly doesn’t have that kind of money, but the man that unknowingly fathered her child does. So Kimberly yanks up her big girl panties and heads off to get Luc to give her some cash to satisfy the blackmailer. She hasn’t seen Luc since she believed he was cheating on her and walked away. (BTW, Luc had orchestrated that event because . . . well he is typical . . . afraid of his feelings and wants to put a stop to them!) Soon after Kimberly had left him it appears that she is just another gold digger – because apparently Kimberly had some credit cards that she used once he had kicked her to the curb. Or was it she had kicked him to the curb for his cheating? Doesn’t really matter in the end, I suppose. At any rate, in order for Luc to give Kimberly the money he wants two weeks w/ her and he does NOT believe that there is a kid it’s just a tactic the little gold digger is using.
I like the dynamics b/w Kimberly and Luc and how he didn’t truly believe her about the child given what he believed of her gold digging traits. Of course, Kimberly didn’t exactly get a DNA test either, but perhaps she really didn’t want Luc back in their lives and she only went to him for the cash anyway.
You will have to get past this scared mom leaving her child for two weeks when he was virtually threatened by some blackmailer (see would have been nice to know the contents of that little note. However, I just figured since she paid the blackmailer and they are notoriously trustworthy she figured the kid was safe. LOL!) and see that both Kimberly and Luc really do care about each other. Did I want to smack Luc a few times? You betcha! When he sees the little mini-me he gets mad that she never told him – uh did you forget that the whole reason she came to see you is to get help for the wee one. Also let’s not forget that she did try to contact you years ago, but you put up a lot of road blocks so that she couldn’t. Yes, Kimberly could have tried harder and probably should have over the years and frankly okay she could use a nice tap as well!
Luc gets jealous and all alpha man when he believes she may have some other guy in her life – I’m guessing he had had several someones over the years since Kimberly though. Yet she didn’t seem overly upset by this. Kimberly does get a few smarmy comments to Luc too and that helped. I truly believed that these two loved each other in the end and I didn’t even need those rose colored glasses.
One of my problems was that if he was so overly concerned w/ the credit cards: why didn’t he cancel them, wouldn’t the purchases show up on the statements and he would be able to tell what she purchased and then he would have known before that she was buying things for a child. Maybe he was just so dense and he didn’t think about it, but seriously . . . why not? She doesn’t give in easily to him either, she makes him work for things and that was a nice change too. Also during their two weeks he even allows, okay was tricked, into handing over control to her and I liked that as well!

Angsty and heart wrenchingly sad in some places. I've learned to appreciate this type of book/storyline for what it is, and I can say that if you like dominating, jerk, tortured alpha males; secret babies; and unrequited love-you'll enjoy this one!

The book is a joke and if I was a person with less sense of humor I would feel insulted in my intelligence. Seriously? The zero here had an affair with the 18 yo virgin heroine then dumped her because she was becoming too attached. She was pregnant but couldn’t tell him because he basically banned her from every place he was. She was also physically removed by his guards, so seven years later when she tells him she had his child he doesn’t believe her. The reason why I rate minus 10000000 stars is because it’s a joke. The heroine is blackmailed by someone that threatens to kidnap her child and asks the hero five million dollars, and he doesn’t believe her but he gives her the money if she has sex with him for two weeks. Really? Are you kidding me? He doesn’t even question the idiocy she says! What kind of billionaire is he? Not even a cartel boss! I just couldn’t. And she accepts this even if her child has been threatened and is in another country? Really? And she enjoys sex because he’s a sex god and it’s soooo good that she wasn’t able to have sex with anyone in seven years while he had hundreds? Really? And all they do is think and talk about sex and all he thinks is sex sex sex, what is to love ina man like this beside his d**k? Really? And all the time repeating how sexy he is, how handsome, how six packed, how sleek, woman, it looks like you’re a nymphomaniac! I don’t know maybe I’m getting old but I skimmed the sex parts because I am not able to accept that a woman falls in love with a man who discarded her and treated her abismally years before just because of his magic wand? Really? What am I? A brainless chicken? There is nothing about love here it’s all about sèx and sex and sex, and looks. And yes, he will be ok with staying only with her because sex is so magic. Just stop this. This is the lowest example of how a hp can be, I understand that there’s not much high literature and Oscar prize here but there are books with a little more plot, a little more feelings and insight, this is soft porn and nothing else, and degradation and abuse of women, because in the end he never apologize and he is quite not sorry because he left her. Jesus what a waste of my time and money.
I've read some outrageous things that these heroines do to save their little love child from danger or a terminal illness. Like agreeing to sleep with the father-in-law or marry a rogue! This one is relatively harmless, she only has to sleep with the hero himself while her child's life is supposedly in danger !!
In HP Land, sex always comes first. Only then do real life issues that safety, health or poverty get taken up. We understand.
So its the same thing here. They have a child out of a one night stand. She tries to reach him and explain she is pregnant. He cuts her out because she has come too close to his heart and he cant afford to lose control. So he prefers to label her as a gold digger !?!?!??!
Cut to a few years later, the kid gets a kidnap threat. The girl runs to the hero , not to save the kid from danger. But to collect ransom money!!! He agrees to pay after a 2 week sex romp. Of course she says yes !! The sex romp over, he still doesn't believe she is telling the truth about the child. So he follows her home, spots the kid for himself, and is flummoxed.
He was wrong all along. So time for mega grovelling. He does OK with that, could have been even better. But kind of redeems himself.
Nothing that the story offers lingers after you turn the last page.
I hate not finishing a book but boy it started off with potential then stroked out until 75% then tapped out again until 94%. All the parts we needed to know are skipped over like " two weeks and two months later". They never talk until the end! How can you love someone you don't know? You're in love with the idea of being in love not love. I don't know if it's just me or Harlequin is just becoming more lackluster as the days go by. Boy I wish the writer had developed the plot more. Lost potential.
First story I’ve ever read where I think the hero is addicted to sex. The dude can’t function like a person. This poor heroine trying to save her son, which the hero doesn’t believe she has...I’m sure some light research could have told you the answer. And this evil blackmailer is brushed off in 3 pages. But our hero suddenly always loved the heroine and drove her away? Psh okay. And what was that nonsense of how they met? First day, than bam? Cause that’s kinda slutty especially after being attacked, just saying. But not a very believable book and all the stakes feel pretty fake. Skip.
I dislike the hero and the heroine. Why didn't she take her child with her to see Luc? The boy is being threatened but she leaves him at home where the kidnapper can find him. Wouldn't you beg your rich ex to at least hide yourself and your child somewhere safe while the ex goes to the police or gets his team of staff to help. wouldn't that be the better plot? I started the book then skipped to when she left for London and he followed her but then got angry that Luc was blaming her for his own shitty behaviour and decided not to finish the book. I really disliked the hero.
