This is a great book for Gardener’s like us - we “inherited” an amazing garden when we downsized 2 years ago and knew very little about how not to ruin it! This book takes you through a season as the author tends to a garden. In this way we were able to essentially read along - and garden along - with her. This is not really a reference book, I think it’s meant to become read cover to cover. I found it very helpful, particularly because I read each section during the corresponding time in the season.

The author walks you through a calendar year of tending one of the perennial gardens at a Botanical Garden in Zone 6. I don't think I could ever get my weeding down to the amount of time she allows but there are tips throughout
