Crumbs involved a chocolate cake with cherries, a small boy and mice with delightful illustrations. Most of the words are action words like 'Skittle shuttle' and 'Nibble-nibble, Chomp-chomp, Yum-yum, Yummy- yummy, Scrummy-scrummy, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...' to give the young child many opportunities to hear the sounds of language. Thomas manages to fool his mother and Crumbs is given the blame in this delightful story for young children.

I am astonished that this book has no cover and there is basically no information on it! This was one of my favorite books as a child. It's very clever, is mostly wordless, teaches onomatopoeia and is delightful!
