"The No Fear edition of William Shakespeare's ""Romeo and Juliet"" tells a classic story of love and tragedy that has captivated readers for centuries. Both new readers and those who have already read the play, will find this edition to be a valuable resource. It offers an insightful tool for comprehending and enjoying Shakespeare's language because it has the original text on one side and a modernized translation on the other.
Shakespeare displays his storytelling prowess to the fullest in ""Romeo and Juliet,"" weaving a tangled web of fate, family strife, and forbidden love. The characters' challenges and predicaments are easily relatable to readers because they are realistically represented and have their own motivations and imperfections. The drama explores issues like lust, youth, and the deadly power of hatred while emphasizing the results of rash decisions. The drama is made more understandable without losing its poetic beauty thanks to the modern translation included in the No Fear version. The No Fear edition of ""Romeo and Juliet"" is a must-read for anybody who wants to dig into the tragic but timeless story of two star-crossed lovers." - PM
This edition of R&J simply captures Romeo and Juliet in a modern translation. The translation was great!
Now for the jokes, my review: The story itself I rate 3 stars because…
let’s be fr. Why is Juliet so infatuated by Romeo? She finds independence peaceful, has no urge to marry until Romeo shows up looking for Juliet’s cousin, only to fall for the other gal⁉️⁉️
Favorite character: the nurse. Her monologues always hit different.
