This fantastic touch-and-feel title from the author of “ Dear Zoo” is sure to delight brave young readers. He was brought up in Zimbabwe and returned to Britain where he completed a doctorate in organic chemistry. In 1980 he became involved in children's publishing where he began designing innovative books with interactive elements and repetitive phrases.
In 1987 he founded Campbell Blackie Books in partnership with his publisher Blackie. Campbell Books (as it became in 1989) was sold in 1995 to Macmillan Publishers.
I do, however, change the wording of the last page to also say "I'm not scary!" about the spider...I am petrified of spiders and I've done so much work to ensure my little girl doesn't learn that behaviour off me too. She loves insects and spiders and I'm not about to change that now!
