I borrowed this from the library because I received a cheap wooden/bamboo flute that doesn't work and I didn't know why. I may have learned what the problem is, or I may not. (I don't actually know where it is to test solutions. Because I am that kind of brilliant.) This is a quick read, but I don't exactly feel confident with the idea of trying to make my own flute now. I feel like Shepard assumes you know or have a lot of the techniques and tools already, and you just need to know how to apply them in a certain way to end up with a flute. I do not, but as I wasn't super interested in making my own flute, this isn't a huge disappointment. If I find my little one before I forget about this book, maybe I'll let you know if I fix it.
