I know that I'm bias now that my research focus is lesson study yet this guide clearly outlines what lesson study is (and is not) with teachers words and real-life examples using video. Still in its infancy, this teacher-led professional development is an opportunity to truly support student learning by engaging in anticipated student responses and thinking. In my opinion, this is the kind of reform that should be supported--teachers learning from one another in collaboration.
