I cannot understand why so few have read this series, I am finding it entertains and a good read. The characters are interesting and you want to see where they go next and what further adventures befall them Really, a good book
The Pligrim's Quest continued and was a surprise ending with revelations by some of the adventures that was not anticipated at all. I do not want to give away any spoilers. This series has been comparable to The Lord of Rings yet in its own way of course. I have really been enjoying reading this series of books and cannot wait to see what happens in the next one.
The quest for Princess Livia continues. The Pilgrims end up at the tower of an old Mage, who gives them clues to where she could be hidden and a flask of precious water from the Magical Wells of Ythan that will awaken her. They sail away from the island, hopeful of an end to the quest, but they haven't banked on the mind of the Regent. Horribly deformed by the bite of the Homunculous, in constant pain, he still finds time to plot against the pilgrims. So that just when they finally triumph, hope is snatched cruelly away.
Another good book in the series. As the quest comes towards the end, there are fewer and fewer side adventures to distract the plot. I like that Ognams story has evolved a bit, although you can see it ending in tears!
