I'm going to lead with the information on the story from the back of the book: Tough Tyler Landon is fit to be tied! He feels he is about to lose his man card. After witnessing a Mexican drug lord commit a murder, Ty finds himself on the cartel's hit list. That's bad enough, but when he finds that the agency has assigned a female Mossad agent to protect him - he decides to seduce her into submission. Tyler is a man's man - a Sexual Dom - a Texas Ranger who lives by the motto - One Riot-One Ranger. But, when he meets Aliyah Sharon - he finds that he has met his match.
Now my take on the book - Sable Hunter writes erotic fiction that it is smoking hot! When you read it you almost feel as if you should look around to see if anyone is watching you read it, or as if you shouldn't be reading it. The sexual scenes in this book are that hot, that intimate, leaving out no small details.
The book is not just about writing erotic fiction with no story, there is a story here and the details are so difficult to believe, and are so based on the research done by the author. I had to ask, and I did get the following answers from Sable:
Aliyah's name does mean "going home" it has been a common name for middle eastern women after WWII.
The author also told me there really is a Mossad Agency - it is Israeli and the most ruthless group of assassins known to man. The israeli's take no shit from anyone and the Kidon is the inner circle of the Mossad. The Mossad does cooperate with the US government since they are our allies.
The torture scenes in the book were difficult to read and to believe, and once again I had to ask the author, do they really do things like this to the people they capture in the Middle East? Her answer:
Yes the torture scenes - I researched and they were true to life - the things that happened in the book have actually happened to people - especially torture by Middle Eastern factions and Mexican cartels. I spent a lot of time looking into that stuff before I wrote it
The book is fiction, and although "Heart In Chains" is at times hard to read, it is based on very real details of past truth, the book is very real. In the love scenes between the two main characters and in the scenes where one of the characters is tortured almost to death. It is a heart pounding read!
I do recommend this book to all of those who are not the faint of heart, and who enjoy fabulous erotic sex scenes that leave you squirming!

Sable again has outdone herself with the story line of this book... never thought 2 military personell on the run would thrill me.. oh hell was I wrong!! I really enjoy the plot.. and oh boy the erotica.. I have been a huge fan of Sable's books.. and so far she has never let me down... Thank you Darling Sable.. again I am still your #1 fan

I have a number of favorite Authors and Sable Hunter is one of them.
I love a story that can hit on a number of emotions and this one did that. I found Humor, Fear, Love and Tears.
Aliyah is one kickass Mossad assassin, hired to be a protector. She has been ordered to protect Texas Ranger Tyler Landon and keep him safe, after he has witnessed a Famous Mexican drug lord murder a fellow Ranger. There is instant attraction on both sides. Tyler is use to being in charge and not taking orders esp from a very small woman. He soon learns great things come in small packages. At first he is not convinced she can protect him. She tells him in the car ride she is Mossad " Israeli Military Intelligence " he at first doesn't believe her but she soon proves through her actions who she really is. She defuses a bomb, helps capture two crooked Deputy's and more. This actually is more of a turn on for Ty.
You learn through this story some of the shocking things that she has experienced in her time with Mossad. While very shocking, you learn just how badass she really is. The relationship that builds fast between them is Amazing. I felt the connection between them and it felt real. There were some really funny scenes between them. When he asks her " What do you shoot, baby? Or when she leaves him cuffed to the bed and he breaks the headboard to get loose and who he runs into bare naked ... Laughed my butt off.
But then the tears ... Dear Lord when she left and why, I felt my heart ripping out. I could not believe she was able to leave, knowing what was about to happen to her. I was not sure how this was going to end at this point.
There is so much more to this story besides an Amazing Heroine and Hero. It is the second book in the Texas Heat series. The first is T-R-O-U-B-L-E. I recommend reading trouble first but this book could be read by itself. Hoping secondary characters Drew & Angelina get their own book next!

Move over Tony and Ziva here comes Ty and Aliyah. Sable has done it again. I have loved every book I have read so far by Sable Hunter. She knows how to plot a story and she delivers it with great characters that you wished you knew. If you are looking for a HOT story to get the fires going, you can count on this one. Great follow up book in the series, I only hope Dr Drew gets a book of his own. Ty is your hot Texas Ranger and Aliyah is the sexy Mossad agent. OMG!!! The sexual tension is amazing and when the twists fly, you will gasp. Wanting to know what will happen next. The energy of the book kept you on high alert. I highly recommend this book! Now when trying to decide which twin was hotter, Ty edged out Ky by a fraction because of that dominate side of his and his ability to be dominated by Aliyah.

Fantastic, Sable does it again.
This book had me in tears!!! Tyler and Aliyah have great respect for each other. Which makes their relationship great.

This story was a bit different...
From some of the other stories I've read. Some scenes was very hard to get through. But overall I would recommend this book and this author.

Aliyah has been ordered to keep safe a cocky, arrogant ( not to mention easy on the eyes ) Texas Ranger. Being Mossad she’s got the determination and the ice cold skills to keep any man safe. What she doesn’t have is a luxury of falling for the arrogant, flirting Ranger, but despite it she can’t seem to keep her composure with him glued to her side.
Tyler had the unfortunate luck of seeing the face of a famous drug lord, never before seen, and now his face is the one with a hit on it. His bosses think the only way to keep his head attached to his body is to hide him away with some chick. Right. But seeing Aliyah, he can’t help but be distracted, determined to get in her pants and charming her to get his way, he blatantly flirts, suggests and uses his best innuendo to get Aliyah to bend to his rules of the game.
With drugs lords on their heels there isn’t a calm moment for the two, but danger also breeds a whole different emotions and it won’t be long before something got to give – but what is more dangerous, a drug lord bent on ending your life or losing the one woman who has ever mattered to you?
I’m such a fan on Hunter’s writing! She’s got a nag for emotional, warm and thrilling scene building, her characters are that too but also well written, engaging and sexy in the subtle/gorgeous way.
The plot in My Aliyah was really entertaining, I got sucked in right away and couldn’t stop reading until I was done. And was all warm and fuzzy afterwards.
I loved the suspense with the bombs, knives, guns and delish sexual tension. Adding to the thrill and drama was Tyler’s sexual preferences and his cocky Texas Ranger attitude – not to be out done by the cold and collected Mossad directives that Aliyah followed to the letter. My Aliyah was an excellent Romantic Suspense, with both engaging romance and thrilling suspense with lots of fast pace action, danger and twists that I did not see coming!
I absolutely loved Ty, he was a true alpha male, arrogant, possessive and cocky but with a kind heart and steadfast loyalty. What’s not to love? Aliyah was the perfect match for Tyler, she was better than most men in a lot fields of combat and was used to of scaring capable men away… but Tyler’s blatant admiration and flirting ( though originally to distract her from her guarding duties ) finally got to her and she gave to her feminine side.
It would not fair to not mention the bedroom scenes! Tyler being a Dom gave a very yummy possessive and control side to the love story, with two strong willed characters it made sense for the love scenes to have a little taste of strong will as well. What I did love was that though Ty was a Dom, Aliyah wasn’t a flat out submissive, but enjoyed her one-on-one time with Tyler. I liked it, it was not the norm in a story with a little BDSM twist.
If you love Romantic Suspense then I highly recommend this to you!

The second book in the Texas Heat series, blew me away. Tyler, is the twin brother of Kyler, who we met in the first Texas Heat book, T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Tyler is not as easy going as his twin, he is a Texas Ranger, and to say he is cocky is an understatement. He also feels like his man card is being taken from him, after witnessing a murder by a Mexican Drug Lord, a price has been placed on his head by the cartel. And what does his agency do, assign a woman to protect him, a woman!! Little does Tyler know, this is not just any woman, her name is Aliyah, and she is a female Mossad agent. In the beginning Tyler only sees her as female, beautiful and sexy, but it doesn't take her long to prove to him that she may actually be his equal, if not superior to him in many ways. Yep, he feels sure he has lost his man card. As the story unfolds, it seems that both Tyler and Aliyah, have been duped, and things escalate out of their control. For the first time since they met, it is up to Tyler and his friends to rescue Aliyah. And the thought scares Tyler to death, because it seems that the cocky and arrogant Texas Ranger, has been bought down a notch or two, by the beautiful Mossad agent.
Sable Hunter's books are loaded with suspense, lovable characters, some characters that you will hate, steamy sexy scenes, and great story lines. Her books always make me feel for the characters, laugh, cry and yeah, at one point in this book I wanted to scream NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Passionately erotic!
I don't usually go for erotic romance but Sable Hunter's books are all written tastefully. Filled with romance and passion, you can't help but love her books. This isi book 2 of Texas Heat. What can I say? This book made me laugh. . . a lot! There are so many funny and cute moments between Tyler and Aliyah. This also has a mix of suspense and action & I just love the combination!

I'm a fan of Ms. Hunter but just came across this series and have already read both books in this series "Texas Heat" and can't wait until she comes out with book 3! If you don't like SUPER HOT stories with SUPER HOT SEXY males and females that can take them on, this isn't for you but you are missing out!! ;-)

Love it. Wow what a ride. A hot Ranger and a beautiful bodyguard. Aliyah is the perfect heroine she can kick ass better than most, but Ty is able to give her something no one else has. All she really wants is someone to care about her and he does just that, whilst protecting each other from drug trafficers. Love this series can't wait to read more.

Fierce protector
Aliyah is hired to protect Tyler. He's a Texas ranger and doesn't think he needs protection. She's more than capable and he figures that out quickly and he realizes he wants her. There is plenty of danger and heat. He's a Dom but he's willing to submit to her in some ways because that's what she needs. She's had a really hard life and he wants to change that.

As always a great story
Love anything Sable Hunter writes. She brings love, passion and intrigue together in a way that makes you want to keep reading. I have missed many a nights sleep reading her books and this was no different than the others.

I love this story between Ty and Aliyah. I love that Aliyah was a strong woman. I was literally crying at parts in this book. It was so romantic and of course HOT! I love Sable Hunter!

Absolutely loved this book. Sable Hunter does it again. If you haven't read anything by sable I suggest that you do. Her books are full of heat, and suspense.
