He’ll put her on display, if that’s what it takes to keep her…
Paolo’s Playhouse, Book 1
When it comes to sexy and sassy, Piper, the most popular waitress at Ben’s bar, has it all going on. Now that they’re dating, though, Ben wishes she’d dial down the skimpy clothes and flirty attitude, and her habit of dancing around the bar and flashing to her favorite song. Every teasing peek at her body, every laugh at some customer’s lousy joke, is certainly good for business—but it sends his jealousy meter into the red zone.
They’re dating, sure, but he’s no muscled, tattooed stud with diamonds in his ears. How can he compete, especially when she refuses to even spend the night at his place?
Desperate, Ben books a room at his friend Paolo’s fantasy club, hoping an erotic night in front of a two-way mirror will get her exhibitionist streak out of her system. Praying it won’t prove his greatest fears—that she lives only to show off. And he’s not that special to her at all…
Flirting and pole dancing, hot sex and showing off for an invisible audience. Stop by the playhouse and live out your fantasies!
Natasha Moore fell in love with the written word as soon as she could read. She’s the author of more than twenty romances, and believes that stories of love and hope are important. Love can happen at any age and she often writes about vibrant and passionate characters finding love later in life. She’s a snowbird, spending the winters in sunny Florida, and the rest of the year in beautiful western New York with her real life hero who is happy to tell everyone that he’s her inspiration
This was a wonderful love story about a girl that only wants to hear those three little words from her boyfriend. The boyfriend truly doesn't understand why she flirts, flits and shows off for other people but him. This tiny miscommunication from each other sets up their evening at Paolo's Playhouse.
The scenes in the playhouse are perfect. The dialogue is crisp and the story moves at quick pace and never lets up. Without giving any spoilers here, I just want to say the scenes are hot and left little to the imagination.
I would highly recommend this short story to anyone that wants it fast and delicious. I can't wait for the next book in this decadent series.
Everyone comes to Scandals to see the sexy and sassy waitress, Piper. But Ben owns Piper’s heart even if he doesn’t know it. Ben opened Scandal, a bar, but never imagined having a waitress like Piper around. She flirts with everyone, wears short skirts and matching colored sneakers. And all the regulars know her favorite song, Bad Girlfriend by Theory of a Deadman. When it comes on she sways and dances for all to see.
Ben is intensely jealous of his girlfriend, Piper. She’s good for business, but he wants her to only brush up against him or even flash him. So when his friend Paolo calls saying he has a room available at his sex club, Ben takes it up. Hoping to get her exhibition fantasies out of her system, Ben gets a room with a double mirror, knowing a couple will be watching him and Piper. Ben’s betting that this will be what it takes to get Piper to commit to him or it will end with a bang.
When I started this book, I fell in love with Piper. She is so fun loving and free spirited, but I could get where Ben was so jealous of what she felt was innocent flirting. She wore extremely short skirts so when she bends over to clean a table, there is not much left to the imagination. I too love the song Bad Girlfriend, so I was kind of dancing with her through the scene. It was just plain fun.
Ben is more serious. He describes himself as not a big guy but average. So when Piper keeps refusing to move in with him and flirting around, he thinks he has to do something drastic to get her attention. He knows it is a gamble. Either she will get it out of her system or she will be offended and leave.
The scene in the room is off the hook hot. They don’t know truthfully if anyone is watching or not, they just assume. While there are toys galore in the room, the bed and the mirror take center stage. There is some bed pole dancing and wickedly hot love scenes.
While it was a fun read, it is short and I wanted to see more. That is about my only complaint…MORE PLEASE!

This was cute and sweet, but it didn't feel fully formed. We have Piper who loves to show off her body where she works as a waitress. Not that she's stripping, but she wears provocative clothing, flirts with everyone, gives everyone flashes when she bends over to do things... and she's dating Ben, who gets insanely jealous when she's showing off. But he holds it together. He's decided to give Piper a fantasy he thinks she wants: exhibitionism through playing in a room designed for that at Paolo's Playhouse.
There was very little character development. The sex was steamy. The overall story point was sweet. I just wish there had been more character development so I'd care more. And it drives me nuts when a story ends around 60% on my Kindle. I realize that's not the author's fault, but it makes me think there will be more story and then it's just done. Even an epilogue would be nice.
My main problem with this book is actually related to what I think is wrong with society. The poor man, so insecure because of constantly being required to prove himself to his love interest without any reciprocation... I mean, why couldn't she have said something about her feelings? But no... that's the man's place. Which is why there's the expression "grow a pair", aka turn into a man just to be brave, to put yourself out there, being honest with your feelings and not playing games... Sorry, but Piper needs to be less of a self absorbed bitch and be a bit more considerate of her man and the pressure she's putting on him.

I loved Moore's previous stand-alone story, 'See Me' and I'm intrigued by the premise of this new series. I felt that while this one had engaging characters and did a splendid job of introducing the set-up for the rest, it could have done with being just that little bit longer. I'm looking forward to the next one now...
I liked this book. The opening is extremely hot. Whew! The story is well written and I liked the hero and heroine. I'm looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
Has made me curious to read the next book in the series about the couple on the other side of the glass, but not sure that I'll be rushing to get it...
Wasn't prepared for this. Highly sexy story as were Piper and Ben. Short and to the point, so nothing meaty. My husband appreciated I read this one. ;-)
3.5 out of 5 stars. This was a decent bedtime story, but I wasn't sure about this "romance." It ended on a happy ever after, but the getting there was . . . questionable.
