Should have checked when it was published. 1966 Russia differs so dramatically from today that i’ll need another book to get filled in. Also surprisingly heavy on the German propoganda.
Good book for a timeline from the Kiev period (980ad) to the first Moscow period around 1400.

Good short overview of Russian history. A major theme is the split between the views that Russia is "European" and that it is "Asian."
