Vladyslav Yerko is a fine and well-known Ukranian illustrator, he is a recipient of many awards at prestigious art and book fairs. His illustrations became widely known through his work on the books of Paulo Coelho and his work on Andersen's "The Snow Queen", which won the Grand Prize at the 2000 Ukrainian Book of the Year awards and the Anderson House Foundation Award as the "Best Children's Book of the Year 2006".
Vladyslav Yerko was born in 1962 in Kyiv. From 1984 to 1990, Yerko studied at the Polygraphic Academy in Kyiv. In 1998, he began working with A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA, a prominent publishing house of children's books. There he illustrated the Ukrainian editions of "The Snow Queen" and "Young Roland" in color and provided illustrations for "Alice in Wonderland" and "Gulliver's Travels". He had also done the cover designs for all of the Harry Potter books published in Ukraine.

Найкращі казки з дитинства - Курочка Ряба, Сірко, Солом’яний бичок, Ріпка, Пан Коцький, Івасик-Телесик, Ох, Яйце-Райце і багато інших. Цікаво було і мені, і донечці. Читаючи, згадував, як так само читали казочки й мені - тато, мама, бабуся. Ілюстрації на рівні з казками - просто найкращі; часом ми не читаємо, а просто їх роздивляємося. Ця книжка - обов’язкова у кожній сім’ї з дітьми.
