A photobiography of the 1,250-mile span of Australia's Great Barrier Reef features 125 richly detailed photographs and essays that discuss the myriad life and extensive ecology of the area. 25,000 first printing.
I discovered this photographer in another book I read about the Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards. It featured photographers who are masters in their field. David Doubilet was one. It's an older book as he was still shooting film but it was a wonderful introduction to the Great Barrier Reef in all its glory. It stark contrast to the last book I read, this one had beautiful photography that really portrayed the wildlife in a stunning fashion. The text was more informational than storied. Very enjoyable visual treat by a talented photographer.
