Ruth: A Guide for Life's Troubled Times

Rate this book
Have you ever been lost? Lost in a city with no roadmap or GPS to guide you, it can fill you with anxiety and confusion. It would be great to have someone actually in the car with you, a navigator, who is familiar with the city layout and roads to guide you to your destination. In the book of Ruth, we find the story of people who traveled a very difficult and painful road in this life. People who were emotionally and spiritually shattered by events they did not understand and who felt that all hope for the future was extinguished. In Ruth, we see people who do have a navigator at their side in times of suffering; a person who is guiding their lives down a road that will ultimately bless them and countless others. The road for Ruth and Naomi is difficult, but it is not without purpose and they are not alone. Travel with these two and perhaps find hope in your own difficult journey. We do have a navigator for painful travels and there is a roadmap.

This book offers great insight into biblical history, strength of character and love of family. I'm entering the stage of taking care of elderly parents. I strive to be like Boaz and be loving with familial responsibilities.
