Betrayed by the Gods he once served, battle-weary Hades promised to never allow another god power over him, but he didn’t plan on the intervention of the Fates intertwining his future with the stunning woman dancing in the moonlight, but only a fool accepts the gifts of a siren, or fights against the will of the Fates. (Less sexual version of My Lord Hades)
Once upon a time there was a girl who went adventuring. She traveled through dangerous lands, distant times, and the dark of space. She endured all manner of magical quests and deadly missions that revealed dark secrets that threatened worlds. She even defeated a few evil overlords and nasty villains. Later in life she settled down with her husband in a little house tucked away in the haunted woods to write about the worlds she explored and the adventures she had, even if most of them are only in her head.
Most days, Stephannie Beman can be found spending far too much time and possible not enough time in front of her computer drinking copious amounts of coffee, laughing and crying at the antics of her beautiful creations, and weaving tales about characters who plunge head-first into adventure and mayhem. In her worlds legends walk, love is eternal, fables are alive, fairy tales have lessons to teach, and myths are survivors of bygone years.
This book was downright comical. I love the myth of Persephone and typically enjoy each version of it; this one however completely fell short. First and foremost: THIS IS NOT A "PG" OR "PG-13" BOOK!!! I bought it on my Nook when it said it was a re-write and that the majority of the sexual content was removed...This was false. It was pretty graphic in my opinion. Lots of gasping, descriptions of body parts and what I would call insta-rections. It was ridiculous. I'm not sure which character was more annoying: Persephone who would freak out at the slightest touch ANYWHERE or Hades who couldn't move without getting an insta-rection. The writing was rather strange to me as well. This is a story set in the ancient times about Greek Gods...They should not be using words that are associated with modern day slang. The story was kind of all over the place too. There were serious plot holes: people that should have been important were barely mentioned, a major tragic event that was never truly explained, relationships and interactions that didn't make sense. Once a conflict was "dealt with" no matter how traumatizing, you barely heard mention of it and a new random conflict almost immediately follows. I found myself rather confused a good amount of time reading this and would have to go back to the previous page because of the randomness. Also I couldn't relate to the reactions of the characters. They were all extremely juvenile and rather immature for ancient deities...particularly Demeter. Oh my gosh, Demeter! -_- However, there was some serious potential in the book. Without all of the sex, annoying gods and random plot flaws, the author can actually right a good story. Overall though, I felt like this was more like one of those games where one person starts the story and the next person takes over and comes up with something and so on but with the intention to poke fun at the story and make each other blush. In the end, I mostly found it hilarious because it was so absurd. If your looking for a well thought out and well written story, this is probably not the book for you, particularly if you are not into adult books (which I'm not). If your are and are just wanting to pass the time, be my guest!

The editing of the book was terrible. I'm not kidding- words misspelled, entire paragraphs repeated, missing pages. The editor should be ashamed of him/herself. Good thing the Kindle version was only 99 cents on Amazon.com Now with that aside, this was a great book. An entirely new version of the Persephone/Hades story. The characters were just amazing. I loved the progression of Persephone and the manner in which she became Queen of the Underworld. Hades in no slouch either. A fun God with a sexy streak- he became almost human with his intense love of his bride. Read the book- you won't be sorry. I give this book 4/5 stars. ( less than 5 because of the poor editing)
This was the 2nd time I read this book. I love the retelling of this classic Greek Myth. There is a more graphic version of this story, but apparently, there isn't much added, and I found this version sensual, dreamy, and sexy, without being sleasy.
