The Future and the Past Merge!

"Seducing Her Highlander" is Book 5 of A Scottish Historical Time Travel Romance (Reunited in the Highlands) series, written by Laura Wells. I absolutely love this series about women and men from the future, our present day, falling into magical, enchanted Scottish wells and ending up in Scotland during the 1450s. This episode is about Megan, a genealogist living in the 21st Century who has traced her adoptive mother's lineage as far back as the mid-15th Century. She buys a 15th Century costume dress some miles away and plans on surprising her adoptive mother with a taste of what life looked like during the 15th Century. However, on her way home, a rain storm comes out of nowhere and she crashed her car into the ruins of an old well, one that just so happens to be one enchanted by a Pictish Scottish witch back in the 600s A.D. Megan falls into this well and arrives in 1455. We do not know the exact year, until the end of Chapter 2 or 3, because, unlike Books 1-4, there are no years or geographic locations mentioned at the beginnings of chapters. Anyway, Megan comes out if the well and can't find her car. A handsome man dressed in Renaissance Period Scottish clothes, and using a horse, finds her and asks if she is okay. His name is Lachlan Grant, the eldest son of the current Laird of the Clan Grant. After she can't find her car, he takes her on horseback to his castle, where she finally realizes she's not in Kansas anymore! Ha ha ha! She realizes she's slipped back in time almost 700 years. While there, Lachlan's sister, Skye, turns up missing and Lachlan thinks she's been kidnapped by a smaller, neighboring clan. He vows retribution against the Laird of that clan, who just so happens to be Megan's adoptive mother's distant relative. If Lachlan has his way, this man might die, and then Megan's adoptive mother might cease to exist and her entire future will change. Can Megan save Finlay MacArthur and preserve the future? And can she also save her growing love for Lachlan Grant who will one day become the Laird of his clan? Even though this book had a few technical grammatical errors, I still gave it a 5 star rating because it kept me turning my Kindle pages. I'm a slow reader and it only took me five or six hours to complete. I recommend this entire series to anyone who loves a good romance. You can receive a copy of the Prequel "Theia" about the Pictish witch and the BookFunnel link is at the beginning of each subsequent book. This is a series best read in chronological order because characters from previous books appear in later books.

Can love be stronger than duty?
After a car accident due to a storm, Megan falls into a well and is discovered by Lachlan back in the 15th century. He is the eldest son of the earl and takes her to the castle. Suddenly, there is an uproar when it is discovered that the laird’s daughter has disappeared. They fear that she has been abducted by Finley, the son of another laird. Lachlan and Megan travel to the other clan. Although they develop feelings for each other, Megan does not believe that Lachlan would choose love above his duty and decides to return to the future and her mother, who by then would be terribly worried by her absence.
This is the story of two people who, despite the fact that they fall in love, are so insecure that they cling to what they know: Lachlan to his duty and Megan to her bad experiences with boyfriends.

Another beautiful time traveler read! Megan is tired of coming second in her romantic relationships - second to their careers. A loving daughter, her adopted mother is everything to her. Lachlan is a devoted son and a serious man soon to be Laird. He'll do whatever it takes to strengthen his clan. When these two meet the spark is instant yet her history with men and his responsibilities are a deterrent ....... until they're not! Watching their journey of growing love is beautiful. I love the history, scenery, twists, turns and all the characters that make this such a wonderful read. I received this ARC and this is my honest review.

Great
I loved this book as much as the others before.
Lachlan and Megan's story is about a Lairds son who is next in line and everything he does is for his clan and A woman from the future with a bad relationship behind her, who finds herself in 1455. This book was a can't put down and found myself in the early hours still reading.
I do love Laura Wells book and have not found one I didn't like. Well done again Laura

Another good Time Travel story
I have enjoyed this book. it must have been everlasting love for Lachlan and Megan because he waited for her to come back.
