Annette Blair's romantic comedies owe their beginnings to a root canal and a reluctant trip to Salem Massachusetts. Though she had once proclaimed she'd never write a contemporary, she stumbled into the serendipitous role of Accidental Witch Writer on that trip. Funny how she managed to eat her words even with an aching jaw. Magic or destiny; Annette's Bewitching Romantic Comedies became her first National Bestsellers.

Her August '07 release, SEX AND THE PSYCHIC WITCH, the first in her Triplet Witch Trilogy, hit the #1 bestselling spot for contemporary romance-humorous on Barnes & Noble. It also hit B & N's overall bestseller lists for mass market and fiction mass market and #7 for romance mass market, topping Nielsen BookScan and Borders Bestseller lists as well.

There was a lot I liked about this book and the characters. I thought the children were rather well done, neither perfect angels nor spoiled demon-brats, but kids thinking and acting like real kids do. However, somewhere in the middle things seemed to bog down, and a bunch of idiotic non-sense occurred just to drag out the story too long for my taste. How does it make any sense that the kids find Charity's mail hidden among the cook's possessions and Charity isn't curious enough to bother reading the letters? Hey, if someone said he found letters addressed to you in someone's room, wouldn't you want to read them real quick? I also get so sick of that same old/same old, worn out, run down, retire it already, stale plot device of silly complications caused by characters simply not spitting out normal communications that any vaguely normal person would have spit out, and then the writer going to even more ridiculous extremes trying to justify why the characters aren't communicating or acting like sane people would. By now you would think romance writers would have read enough romance novels to learn that deception between lovers never accomplishes anything, except to ruin an otherwise good romance novel.

What a beautiful story! I loved Chastity’s big heart and who doesn’t love a rogue reformed? The book is well written with endearing characters that are relatable. R. K. Hanson

Chasity Somers wants nothing more than to rescue four children from workhouse conditions to provided them with loving home and unconditional love too. She gets caught during the rescue by handsome stranger only wanting to help. Reed Gilbride received an anonymous letter stating he was long lost heir of Earl Barrington. Reed's never known unconditional love yet somehow yearns for it unknowingly. Reed arrives at Sunnyledge taking on the role of caretaker while encountering Chasity and her little brats. Reed and Chasity will work together to discover Reed's inheritance and truth of his birth. Will Reed learn the truth? Will Chasity and the children thaw Reed's heart? This series gets better with each book. I love how the rogue meets his match! I love the characters and story very much! Ms. Blair's writing is clever as it is heartwarming too. I can't wait for my next adventure in this series.

This is by far my favorite in the Rogue Club series. I believe Annette Blair brought the characters to life, which I felt were lacking in the previous two, though mainly in the first book. Although I thought it was a slow start, it started to pick up about midway through and I was hooked for the rest of the night (2:30 a.m.!). I loved Chastity, and Reed was wonderful, as were the children and Sennett. The plot was more original than the previous two, in fact I don't think I've come across it much, if at all. I did have a few quibbles, but nothing much except I find it hard to believe that growing up in a nunnery where everyone has to share in responsibilities, that Chastity didn't know how to cook. Otherwise I found it to be a lovely, moving, and heartwarming book.

I loved the characters in this book...not just the heroine and the hero (Chastity and Reed) but the kids as well! Kids are not always portrayed well in books. They often sound like adults and that has always annoyed me. These kids were kids and I fell in love with them. I'd love to hear their story as they enter the adult world! (there you go, dear author! another series to think about!!) Having Chastity hide behind her nun's habit was a fun way to keep the sexual tension going. One scene after another had me laughing out loud. This really was a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to read the rest of this author's books. I also learned a little bit while reading this book...about making butter and cheese! Hats off to the author on this fun read with lots of sizzle!

He was single and he liked it that way. Children? Thanks, but no thanks. Yet this veteran of the Napoleonic War found himself awash with children whose ability to survive, whose inner hurts resonated with his own early experiences, and whose guardian, with her indomitable spirit and sassy verbage captivated him, even when he wasn't aware that was happening. This hero is perhaps the most unlikely of heros whose search for his birthright and identity is the underlying sadness in Reed's life. Yet through it all runs the growing affection and attachment this rogue found within himself to an unlikely family of sorts. A very entertaining book, with lots of humor and deep emotion, and one that is skillfully crafted to keep the reader's interest. It certainly did that for me.

This was my favourite from the series I loved it! Reed Gilbride is a handsome rogue who comes across Chastity Somers, an ex nun who rescues her husbands cousins from the workhouse. The attraction between Chastity and Reed was obvious from the start and when they begin living together in Sunnyledge. Reed is trying to discover his heritage after receiving a note that he is the missing heir. Chastity's dead husband of 2 days received the same note and now the 2 must discover the truth. I liked the ghostly content, the mystery, the love story between the two and the kids were brilliant! Funny and witty I really enjoyed this book :) 5 stars

The theme of this story was so different to the first two in this series but just as beautiful and readable.
This book showed the wonderful sense of humour of this author and I must confess to many a hearty chuckle every so often. What the children got up to! And what went on between Reed and Chastity - oh my goodness!
Both main characters are strong and loving in their own ways and it was very easy to empathize with both of them.
Annette Blair has the ability to grab your attention from the very first page and to hold it throughout and when her story ends she leaves you craving for more.

I liked this one a lot. It is a departure from the previous novels and more like a gothic novel. Actually, it pretty much screams Gothic with a creepy estate, a madwoman in the dumb waiter, mistaken identity and more. The interactions between the characters were well developed and heart warming and couldn't wait to see how it ended even if it was a bit contrived -- just like a good old fashion gothic novel.

Meh. It had all the right elements: conflict, romance, character growth. But the narration was so distancing, I never felt involved, even in the parts that should have been the most tense and exciting. Still, overall it was well-done, so I might try reading some of her contemporaries, to see if her voice works better for me in those.

This is definitely my favorite of the series. I got so lost in the story I couldn't tell you if the same punctuation problems persisted in this one or not. I loved the way the hero and heroine played off each other, and Chastity's honest innocence was refreshing. Overall great romance, with very hot love scenes.

This was a freebie at the amazon.com Kindle Store. You'd think I'd have learned that you get what you pay for.

I read about a quarter of it, waiting for the story to begin. I got bored. The characters don't grab interest, the action is slow. The horse is the best one.

I liked this book and it's cast of ragamuffin orphans! The fiesty heroine has taken the role of caretaker to this small brood and the rogue is in competion for a house that is conditional on an heir being found. The hero/rogue is a war hero and learns the value of family and love.

Not normally an era I enjoy but an engaging story, well rounded characters. The only 'flaw' was the amount of times the hero was injured - it was almost one too many for my personal taste as it screamed 'hey bozo's something's going on are you daft or what?'.

A beautiful story with hidden twists exactly where they're needed. I managed to work out what was going to happen some way before it did, but then the plot as a whole didn't lose anything because of it - it just confirmed I was right!

I couldn't help it. I had a couple of free days to sit back, relax and get lost into a great adventure, and stumbled upon this series and didn't stop till I reached the end. Quite an accomplishment in two days.

Great depth in her characters and a cute story, but not very well-edited with missing quotation marks, quotation marks where there shouldn't be any, and especially the word "lightening" when it should be lightning.

Trust and Forgiveness

Good Read that encourages trust and Forgiveness in relationships. Love can be found in the most unexpected places. Love expands the capacity we limit it to. There is always more room to love.

A good rainy day read.

The book is well plotted and written in an engaging style, with likeable characters. There was romance, mystery and good plot twists. I was sorry to see the end approaching. The series continues however, and each can be read as separate.

Good story. I usually don't care for a romance where children play center stage but I wasn't bothered by it in this story. I really enjoyed the characterization and watching each character develop.
