From USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Michelle Heard, comes a new STANDALONE, full-length MAFIA ROMANCE novel.
Home. It's the one thing I want more than anything. A husband I can love. Children I can give the world to. A house I can call my own. To many, it's a stupid wish, but to me, it's everything.
When my adoptive father demands that I marry one of his business partners, Karlin Makarova, my dream becomes nothing more than that - a dream. Karlin is a vile monster, a nightmare for any woman he crosses paths with.
I dread the time I have to spend alone with Karlin and hide the bruises that fill me with deep shame.
But then my beloved brother steps in and arranges a marriage with one of his best friends.
Armani De Santis is known to be coolheaded, aloof, and calculative. Sure, he's heartbreakingly attractive - emphasis on heartbreakingly - but it's clear he sees me as his friend's little sister that's become his problem.
Then again, I'd rather have my heart broken by Armani De Santis than be Karlin Makarova's punching bag.
And so, my dream of a happily ever after turns into a cold-blooded war between the two men, and I find myself praying that somehow I'll survive.
But life has taught me prayers are never answered.

Was this my favorite of the three? Yes!
We knew the arranged marriage between Armani and Tiana was happening when Misha asked Armani to marry his little sister but who could have thought she would have been promised to another man by her adoptive father for money? I was honestly shocked by the appalling way the adoptive father treated her and didn't care about her wellbeing beyond what she could offer him and how much money he made by basically selling her off.
The man he chose was a real piece of work. he was abusive and disgusting. He physically abuses her during the few days she sees him and honestly it was a relief when she left and ran right into the arms of Armani, who at this point had not made his intentions clear nor their engagement.
I loved Armani, he was levelheaded but a psycho when the need came. I truly appreciated his loyalty and his family-oriented values in comparison to what he had witnessed in his life.
''I'm going to love you so hard to make up for all the days you felt unloved''
This is insta-lust/love between the two. They get along and he makes sure she is comfortable and safe whenever she is around him. Their chemistry was also something that was great to read about. The spice was definitely on point.
There was some angst in the beginning and pain later on that I don't think we particularly see coming but the culprit had me guessing, I kept thinking the least likely suspect was the one causing the issues.
We also did get a small nugget of information about Alek (3 years and nobody) but also a bit more information about what is going on with him and why?
There is a truly beautiful scene I think was one of my favorite which is when Misha and Tiana have something to eat the day of her wedding and how it is a nod to when they were in the orphanage. I got tears in my eyes because of how far they have come from the life they once had.
Overall, this was an emotional read, there are dark themes in this book concerning abuse and a rocky road to the HEA but I adored it and the ending was really surprising (in a great way). I know these two MC’s have nothing but love for each other and that made my heart happy.
This book hit my feelings so hard!! I thought the last book broke me.. this one broke me too.. we get more inside Misha and Tiana and how they survived being orphans. And I swear it broke my heart how much Misha was there for his sister the abuse they both went through!!
Now Tiana feels that since he's getting married, there is no one looking out for her she's alone. At the wedding, she meets Armani. Little does she know he's going to be her husband. She enjoys the little time she had with him and is surprised when her foster father has an arranged marriage with an evil douche. That guy doesn't want her he just wants to beat her she suffers a few times at his hands until she runs away and asks for help.
My boy Armani shows up saving his girl and informing her she's going to be his wife he would never lay a hand on her, and she'll be taken care of. We see them grow together the spicy scenes between them and sweet ones.. and deal with some drama that almost cost Armani his wife.. He did something stupid, and he grovled..did he grovel enough, nope, we should've seen more on page grovling. I can't wait for the next book.
Angst, No ow/sorta om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore
Similarly to other reviews, I was let down by Armani in this book. I was very much looking forward to the break from enemies to lovers with a sweet H like Armani and although I normally don’t like meek/doormat h’s, I felt it was appropriate in this relationship. You had a heroine who really needed a kind soul and someone to protect her. While it definitely was more instalove, considering Tiana’s lack of exposure to men it wasn’t surprising and Armani fell for Tiana’s sweet and innocent nature.
Now. What I can’t get past is the ending. After knowing his wife’s past and traumas, he pulls a gun on her while not believing she wasn’t cheating on him. While I could understand why Tiana was so submissive and eager to please in most of the book, I couldn’t get over how easily she forgave him for this especially considering she was pregnant. It made absolutely no sense to forgive him so quickly. I also want to send out like a PSA to authors that we don’t just want to HEAR a H acknowledge that they “need to grovel”, we want to SEE it. Yes it’s great he’s aware he royally messed up, but the grovel isn’t really a grovel if the h just forgives him and we don’t see the work. She was literally running for her life afraid of him, to sleeping in his arms a few hours later……😑. It just seemed to be contradictory to everything we had learned about Armani previously, never mind the fact that is his best friends sister who he vowed to protect.
Overall this was a sweet quick read, definitely not my favorite in the series which is a bummer since Armani did have a ton of potential, but now I will just have all the hope for Alek’s book!

Slightly different romance from all the other books in this standalone series- I loved it for that.
Arranged marriage is one of my favourite tropes and this book did complete justice to it. God, the awkward first meet, small talks, attraction, tentative messages - I gobbled it all up.
I loved how protective and possessive Armani was. He was such a gentleman to Tiana. Shy, obedient, introverted- she was slightly different from the other mafia princess and what exactly Armani needed. This book had triggering content but its low angst and fast paced. And so freaking HOT 🥵.
Loved the depiction of Venice too.
Recommended.
I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
Normally I love this authors books. This one was a miss. DNF 93% First 70% was sooo boring. Then the third act drama was unforgivable but she just opened her legs and forgave him. But how do you come back from pointing a loaded gun at your pregnant wife? He thought she cheated but with her trust issues she could never come back from that. He betrayed her. And she just rolled over like a good dog and forgave him.

·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ I devoured this book in a couple of hours and when I tell y’all that it was worth it, IT WAS WORTH IT. It’s been some time since I read a book in one sitting and this one was just SO GOOD that I had to read it all today. THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING>>> I loved the relationship and the chemistry?!! don’t get me started this book is so so perfect and ARMANI?! excuse me the man he isssss???? ⋆·˚ ༘ *
Third book in the series and I just knew that I would love Armani’s book. He seemed so mysterious and controlled at all times it felt so nice to finally be in his head and GET TO KNOW what he’s feeling, thinking. He’s my favourite from the series as of now, but ALEK’s book is the last one and omg I’m so interested in his story? Like Hello??? ⋆·˚ ༘ *
I ENJOYED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. finally a 5 star read after a while 🥰🥰🥰 WILL MISS THEM SO SO MUCH 🥹
This book was so addictive and I didn’t get bored at any point at all🤭 ⋆·˚ ༘ *
Exactly what I needed. And I couldn't think of a better fitting storyline for both Tiana and Armani.
Michelle made sure to make me cry and sillily smile at parts. ❤️ The way you go through all the feelings along with the heroine, all vulnerable and breakable. 🫠🫠
That's a power few has. Yet, Michelle does it everytime 🥰🥰
Armani was everything we expected him to be. Collected, centered and a force to be reckoned. Even though the book is an " arranged marriage" both parties wanted each others from the start with equal passion. And I LOVED THAT . 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Michelle did it again, she never disappoints and always nails it.
I can't wait for the next book . The corrupted royals have me in a chokehold 😩 yet, all I want to say is " tighter". And that ending had me in TEARS ( the good kind)🥺🖤

Genre/Tropes: Forced Proximity / Arranged Marriage / Brother's Best Friend / OTT Jealous & Possessive Hero An Italian Mafia Romance.
Yes to all the tropes!!!
UPDATE: I don't want sweet. ok...maybe I want sweet moments here and there that feels like a complete breath of fresh air considering "my" mafia men are suppose to be brutal, vicious and scary. I want more of the latter and less of the sweet. Brutalize me gave me sexy and sweet and not THAT much of brutality that I want from my mafia romances. Having said that,I still found it to be a really enjoyable book, I read it within a few hours but as a mafia romance? I miss the gore and brutality to be honest. BUT! But you know what? I'll always be excited to read a Michelle Heard's books.
I guess this book is an okay read. I actually liked the first two books in this series, but this one didn't do it for me.
It was instant connection between the MCs, idk if it's love or lust. But the physical attributes played a part definitely.
Maybe it's just me, but there's nothing special that stands out about the MCs. They felt flat, more like they have bland personality.
All I can remember about Armani was his reaction about the recording. I honestly can't get past that. Overreacted? Probably, but it doesn't justify what he did and that actually pissed me a lot. As for Tiana, I think she's too forgiving. I'll probably think things through for a few days if I were her. What Armani did trigger some of her bad memories, that's why I can't understand how can she talk to him after just 1 night.
» I won‘t hurt you. I‘m just fucking angry that you were hurt. «
★ ★ ★
❥ 𝑻𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒂 She was so boring omg. And sometimes she just acts awkward and cringe. I couldn‘t warm up to her.
❥ 𝑨𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊 He is so fucking hot. Liked him and the way he is there for his friends and beloved people.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 The story was okay - I expected so much more. By far not the best book from Michelle Heard, but it was an enjoyable read. My biggest problem was, that I didn’t like Tiana and her way of acting. The plot was bland and a little bit boring. Not my best mafia read, but if you like other books from the author you should read it.
I haven't had the time to write a review because of my studies, but this one is so good!!! I mean, Control Me will always be my no. 1 from this series, but this was such an easy read. I literally completed it in one sitting. Loved the relationship between Armani and Tiana, but mannnn this made me cry so much. And i don't think I've read this type of brother's best friend trope, so it was new for me, but definitely amazing. Definitely give this book a read if you get the chance!!!!
Tropes: ✨ Mafia Romance ✨ Brother's best friend ✨ Arranged marriage
Edit: Stasy was kind enough to inform me that is gonna be Armani and Tiana's book
This is probably gonna be Maxim's and Camille's book right?

First Impressions Brutalize Me is the third installment in the "Corrupted Royals" series and this book is about Armani De Santis and Tiana. And I haven't read any books from this series. I think I was apprehensive because it was another series with the mafia training and since she had another series about this, I was apprehensive about it. But when I saw a friend of mine, rave about this one on her YouTube channel, I knew that I needed to read it. I am so glad that I did though because this is one of my favorite books by this author. This book completely blew me away and the intensity that is packed within this story was just perfection. I honestly couldn't put this beauty of a story down and I am happy for it. If you love mafia romance with arranged marriage, a protective hero and a sensitive introvert heroine, then this book is perfect for you.
First Line The world I live in is a cruel one. Nothing has ever been easy.
The Main Protagonists The Hero: Armani -Alpha mafia leader in training -protective -strong and caring for women in his life
The Heroine: Tiana -loving -dreams of marriage and family -history of being abused -introvert and shy
Summary Tiana was raised in a orphanage and she and her brother Misha were constantly abused but then they were taken in by a mafia family who raised them and brought them up in a solid home of comfort and stability. But now Misha is getting married and finishing off in the mafia training academy and soon he won't be a part of her life anymore and she understands what her role within the mafia is. She has always dreamed of a man to love and to raise his children in love and nurturing them. But when Misha leaves for his honeymoon, her adoptive father has other plans for her without Misha's awareness and she will now be forced into a marriage with his business partner, Karlin Makarova. And when Tiana ends up being brutally abused by him, her brother and his best friend step in and arrange their own marriage for her with Armani De Santis which has been arranged for some time. But Tiana and Armani have a strong connection to each other, that is stable and loving and when Armani protects her at all costs, a formidable love forms between them.
What I Loved This book was epic and beautiful and one of my favorite Mafia romances that I have ever read. I am not sure what it is, but some books by this author are so well done and she really capitalizes on the intimacy and emotion on very deep levels and she really worked the relationship between Armani and Tiana so well. I just loved the way that these two are developed and the poignant moments between them were so awe inspiring at times. The romance that builds between these two is so well done and the slow built chemistry feels just right for them being strangers to each other. Despite Armani being Misha's best friend, they haven't met until his wedding although they know of each other. Unlike with most best friend sibling romances, the brother wants his sister with Armani because he trusts Armani to treat her with care and respect. And Armani is honestly one of the most noble heroes I have ever read in this sub genre. The way he is with gentle Tiana was beautiful. Its apparent he knows how to treat women with gentle care and he knows what she has been through in her past and only want to protect her and love her. His devotion to her was just beautiful. The plot of the story keeps you on the edge of your seat and it was so intense at many times. There was a part of me that was so drawn into this one and seeing our couple work through the challenges that they face and embrace the beautiful connection that they have together. There is a third act conflict which I am still on the fence on, I do wish that there was more trust implemented there but I do like that the hero had to work a bit to redeem his mistakes but it wasn't overdone.
What I Struggled With The only issue I had is how the third act was handled, but it was resolved pretty quickly so I am relieved it hadn't been dragged out too much. Just wish there had been a bit more trust implemented there.
Overall View Brutalize Me was a captivating, emotionally driven, and intimate poignant story that melted my heart and delivered all the thrills and feels from beginning to end. A MAFIA GEM!
Favorite Quote(s) Home. It’s the one thing I want more than anything. A husband I can love. Children I can give the world to. A house I can call my own. To many, it’s a stupid wish, but to me, it’s everything.
“That’s right, tesoro mia. Saying our vows won’t change a damn thing. You’re mine for life, and only death will part us.”
I don’t know what I did to deserve her, but I’ll treasure her forever.
“I’m going to love you so hard to make up for all the days you felt unloved.”
In such a short time, Armani has given me more love and respect than I’ve ever experienced. It feels like a dream, like I’m getting a glimpse of heaven.
I give him everything I have. My heart. My body. My soul. All that I am belongs to Armani.

Steam/Spice Explanations
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
I was anticipating Armani and Tania's story, but honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this book since we already had gathered that it was an arranged marriage that Misha had arranged... But Michelle managed to do the unbelievable and she gave us so much more with this story and I have to say that i liked how this story developed and I loved the change of scenery that happened in here!!! Tania and Armani have been forced together, but along the way, they earned so many things that they never thought that they will have...
"I gave him everything, and he threw me away like I was nothing."
Tania wanted only one thing in her life... A home to call her own, a husband that will love her and a child of her own... But she is living in a world that the decisions are not based on her, but to the men of her family, but she has faith that her brother will find her a nice husband... Unfortunately for her, her stepfather had arranged a marriage with a dreadful and very violent man and she can't do anything about it... She is running out of time and her shame doesn't let her handle the situation well... The only person that she can turned to is her brother's best friend!!! Will Armani help her???
"I've met plenty of monsters in my life, but you're not one of them."
Armani De Santis is a honorable man. He has taken a vow to marry his best friend's sister and he won't back out of this arrangement... Imagine his surprise when his future wife is getting under his skin like no other woman before her... But nothing is easy on their world and he has to fight with beasts for the love of this woman!!! He just wants to keep her and to have a beautiful life by her side, but things are more complicated than that!!!
"Even though this is an arranged marriage, I want you to be happy, Tiana."
I really liked Tania and Armani!!! Their story took place in a small amount of time, but it felt so right... I liked how they were between them and I broke down alongside them when everything fell apart... These two couldn't be more perfect for each other!!! Armani was indeed a very good man, but his love was blinding him... And what can I say for this lovely creature that was Tania??? She was amazing and my heart was breaking for everything that she had to go through in life!!!
"In the blink of an eye, he's gone from the love of my life to a dangerous stranger."
I adore the "Corrupted Royals" series and each addition to the series is another beautiful story!!! I like Michelle's writing and how she is twisting the stories and you never know what to expect of them!!! "Brutalize me" is the perfect example for it!!! I can not wait for the next book in the series... I am sure that it will be another beautiful story in a very intriguing world!!!
"Saying our vows won't change a damn thing. You're mine for life, and only death will part us."
**I received an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**
Stars : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steam : 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Ending : HEA with two beautiful children.
Haahhhh! Finally, lemme collect myself first.
Okey! Soo its was indeed a beautiful story that's why I gave all stars, BUT The whole 80%of the story was pretty much vanilla for me I was holding my breath so hardly for the BIG FUCKING SHOE TO DROP. and BAM! then all of a sudden shit goes down down down, What Armani did, is bad indeed needed much much groveling. Tiana is an innocent beautiful girl who just wants a home to call her own, a husband to love with her life and give birth to her children, all the things she didn't get to experience she wanted to give them to her babies. She loved Armani. And what he did? He just threw it away!. Armani Fucked up big time, it was simply DUMB and INSENSIBLE for a '' cool headed composed person'' as he calls himself . he did Grovel but it was not enough for me anyway it's OK Tiana forgave him and that's all.
I'm giving 5stars because of the last 20% of the story. At first everything was going at its full speed, but as it comes to the ending I really loved how Armani and Tiana gave birth to their baby boy then adopted a baby girl, it was wholesome and my heart felt full again. So I'm Happy, im not comparing them to previous couples, everybody has their faults and weakness, hell even I have major trust issues so I can understand him fully, but his anger did the deed for me. It's ok, he made up for his mistake that's what is important for me.
Aaaaaaaaannnd! I'm done here heading for Maxim And Cami.!
I enjoyed this book so much! Armani and Tiana’s story was everything! This book had me hooked from the beginning. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series but the third one is definitely my favorite so far.
Brutalize Me is the third book in the Corrupted Royals series.
I love the arranged marriage trope and this book does it justice. The relationship between Tiana and Armani was everything. I loved how protective Armani is. I enjoyed the instant connection between them. The ending to this book was just beautiful!
I really am loving this series and can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released!
This is a dark book so make sure you check TWs/CWs.
*Thank you to Michelle Heard and Candi Kane PR for this arc copy
Tropes: ♡ mafia/bratva ♡ arranged marriage ♡ brother’s best friend ♡ forced proximity ♡ dark romance
Triggers Involved : Betrayal , Grovel , Domestic Violence ( Not by the hero)
Plot Summary : All Tiana has ever wanted is a home for herself. A family she can look for and children who would love her. But her bad past prevents her from having all of that and when her father arranges her marriage to a monster, she has no choice but to go ahead. She hides her bruises and hurts and moves on . Until her brother helps her out in the best way. He arranges her marriage with one of his best friends, Armani. Armani is a man not to be crossed. He is ruthless but also caring and Tiana could not have wanted him more.
Armani knows that it's an honor that his best friend is trusting him with his sister. All of his honor goes out of the window when he sees his bride to be. Tiana might just be the most perfect woman he has ever seen and the most beautiful too. She was an angel and Armani could not wait to have her as his and cherish her forever.
If only things were that easy for these two. They have enemies who would do anything to break them , even create misunderstandings . Will Armani trust his wife or will he hurt her beyond repair?
Overall Opinion : Armani is here!! I have been waiting for this man's book ever since we met him in the other books of this series. The way the author described him was amazing and I was hooked immediately.
Tiana and Armani have a cute take that is also filled with some dark events but on an overall basis it is more of a contemporary romance for me. This one was an enjoyable standalone and it made me so much more excited for the upcoming books of this series too!
Definitely recommending this one to all the contemporary mafia Romance loving people out there!
Michelle heard has been one of my favorite authors ever since she released her saint series. I almost instantly pre order all her books she releases, but that opinions starting to change. This is the third book in the corrupted series and it hasn’t gotten any better.
The pacing was terrible and I couldn’t feel any development from anyone. Tiana has no personality andArmani towards the end was unbearable. Thirty pages was not enough groveling time for what he did.
Also what’s up with alek? He’s Someone important to tiana, but the author practically forgot about him and covers it up with “he’s busy with his own trauma” okay
Ohhh this one hurt so much! Brutalize Me was such a beautiful story. I do not cry often while reading, but this book’s epilogue had my eyes leaking tears of happiness. Brutalize Me is the third book in the Corrupted Royals series. It can be read as a standalone, but characters from other books do appear.
Unbeknownst to Tiana, her brother Misha betrothed her to his good friend and part of the Italian mafia, Armani. The two were partially raised in an orphanage before being adopted by a Bratva family. However, her adoptive father wasn’t aware of Misha’s plans, so he arranged her marriage to his abusive business partner. Now, Tiana is the prize in a battle that she never wanted anyone to fight.
My heart broke for Tiana over and over again. All she wanted was her own family to love and be part of. It felt like everyone in her life besides her brother was a disappointment. As a daughter of the bratva, she accepted that her life would be decided for her and love was unlikely. She fell hard and fast for Armani. She was just so sweet. I wanted her happiness so freaking badly. She really goes through it.
Armani didn’t expect his reaction to her. I loved how he instantly wanted to protect her. Although there was an instance where I felt like Armani could have groveled a bit more, overall I loved their connection. I also really loved Tiana’s relationship with Armani’s mom and aunt.
I love how the tone and vibe of each of these books is so entirely different. The next book will be about Maxim and Camille. It’s called Restrain Me. I’m really excited to see where this series goes next.
“I’m going to love you so hard to make up for all the days you felt unloved.”
This book was a lighthearted read at first but towards the end, it became angsty. I loved Tiana. She was such a pure soul. So innocent and vulnerable, always trying to fit in by being so selfless. While I was glad that she finally found her home in Armani, I just couldn't get over the last half of the book. If Armani had shown a little bit of more trust, this book would've been a perfect four star read for me but I want to give it 3.5 stars.
