An ultimatum. A pregnancy. Lies. Deceit. Two people standing in the way of Mega and Tai being together. Devon and Kenai. Devon isn't who he seems and Kenai has secrets of her own.
I absolutely loved part one but this book fell flat for me. You could tell this was rushed. The amount of errors in this one could not be ignored. There were times when the wrong names were being mentioned or when scenes just didn’t make sense. In one chapter it’d say Tai saw Kenai’s funeral when her family posted bits and pieces of it it then the chapter right after mega says they went to the funeral together. How ? Originally tai was in Houston while the funeral was happening in Dallas. It doesn’t make sense. It mentioned how after mega came from the hospital he couldn’t take showers, only baths, then the next day he got in the shower with tai. Another scene he was supposed to go see his parole officer after dropping off the donuts but it never happened. Another scene his dad took his car then right after he mentions he’s about to get in his car as if it was never mentioned that it was taken by his dad. A lot of stuff just didn’t make sense in this book. Also scenes constantly changed with no sign or warning that it would. I hated how tai swore she didn’t want him to go back to jail but constantly put him in compromising situations where he could. Like when she brought him with her to Lexi’s house when Lexi and Lenny were fighting. The ending was so rushed. I hate that I didn’t enjoy this like how I thought I would. This book needs an editor desperately.

Ms. Nicole, you executed part two quite well. So let me piggyback off of my first review for part one of this series. There was, in fact, "something in the milk ain't clean" when it came to Kenai and Devon. Kenai was closer to Mega's past than he ever known. She played her role in trying to make him permanently disappear well. A little too well. And then it was Devon. Let's converse about Devon he was a wolf hiding under sheep clothing. He was the type of uncover simp that bullied his way into a woman's heart. His true colors came out bright as the Christmas tree when he couldn't get his way. It took time, but he got exactly what he deserved. With them two fillers out of the way, Mega and Tai could finally be a couple. Mega finally admitted what we all knew from the beginning of his love for Tai. She reciprocated what he was putting out. They had a few more speed bumps (parents, unwarranted opinions, etc) along the way. However, they finally hit their destination. They achieved their happily ever after with successful careers and a growing family.
Mega and Tai went thru a lot of upside and down to be together and lost a lot of years. They are now happy parents to Mega Jr. He has turn his life around went to barber school and accomplished his goals. Celsely has finally moved on from her baby father and has her a new man in her life. I'm glad Kenia told Mega the truth about her cousins plotting to kill Mega. It sad she was killed because she fell for him. I really appreciate that her cousin mother forgiving Mega for what happened to her troubled son. I wondered if the guy who worked with Mega name Dobie had something to do with her murder. I would love to have a sequel to this book hopefully Pinky Promise 3 to see how the couples doing now. Have we heard the last of Devon the abuser.
I’m so happy for Tai and Mega! Mega didn’t think he could give Tai what she wanted when all she wanted was him. I’m so glad they gave their relationship a chance.
I knew I didn’t like Devon for her but that was mostly because I wanted her and Mega together 🤷🏽♀️ Never would’ve thought Devon would be who he turned out to be. I also would’ve never expected that Kenai was setting Mega up smh she was so foul for that and look where that got her 🤦🏾♀️
I feel this should have a part 3 👀 because I hate to see them go. Really really great read, the editor needs to do a better job but overall it didn’t take away from the story.
K. Nicole, good read. Mega, Mega, Mega. When I tell you watching this story play the out, my lord. Tai, was Mega's peace and Mega was Tai calm. To find out games were played and caused m ok re problems, Devon showed his true colors. Kenya, waited to long. Chelsey and Tai were best friends and always had each other's back. It was so good seeing Mega and Tai work through all things and be on one accord. To see he ow the crew would go to bat for each other was good for Chelsey, Tai and Mega.I was so glad to see Mega obtain each of his goals. 🤗🤗🤗.
I had such high hopes for part two because part one was one of my favorites from last year but there are a lot of inconsistencies with characters in chapter. Putting the wrong names in the wrong scenes. After Mega got shot 4 times there is no way he was healthy enough to do what he was doing. One day says the doctor said he can’t take a shower so he takes a bath then the same day after being intimate with Tai they take a shower together. It didn’t make sense. I still loved Mega because he was what you’d expect from a book Bae.
It was so much to unpack and so much drama and I loved it all. Mega and Tai finally got real with each other and their feelings. Hurt people definitely hurt people and the past always comes to find you sometimes it shocks you and it’s not in the worst ways. The jaw dropping moments from Devon and Kenai definitely added extra flavor to the story and had me on the edge of my seat. This was a great ending to their story. I loved it!
Soulmates are meant to be time, people or mishaps can’t stop what’s meant to be. Our hearts know what it wants we can try to replace love with shopping, others, work or traveling however we will still feel empty until we open ourselves and hearts to love.
It sucks when you have been awaiting a new release and it flops like this did. I had been anticipating part two since finishing the debut of Pinky Promise but was quickly let down after just a few pages of starting. There are too many typos and discrepancies to even enjoy the book. It felt rushed. Needs to be revised and republished.
This book gave me everything I needed it to give! It was the growth and maturity of the characters for me. Especially Mega with his anger! That plot twist though! That I never would have seen coming!
I enjoyed the growth between Mega and Tai. Although, they went back and forth, they finally got it together. If you really love someone let them go and they will come back to you,was their life for sure.
Wheww i didn’t know how this was going to play out. I’m glad there were no more problems with Devon. I wouldn’t mind a short story to where they are now.
Mega was the man. He loves his beastie like no other. Devon got off too easy. He should have got his butt kicked. I am so happy that they got their happy ending.
Not bad if you like a girl perusing a man, and the man acting like he's the prize this is for you. As for me.... no had potential to be really good but no.
Good Read. I enjoyed both 1&2, however, the ending definitely felt rushed. Both books need editing- lots of grammatical errors, some inconsistencies, and characters names in the wrong spot.
