Pat Hickerson's poetry reflects the wide(wild)range, the depth and heights of life and the generosity of her spirit. She has the courage to share with us the dregs and disasters as well as the delights the passion of living. She understands love (that) was doomed right from the start and how a dream aches into an impatient spirit. She loved to watch the setting sun. Poems would come to her then, like pale green memories. I miss her. ~~~ Allegra Silberstein, Poet Laureate Emeritus the City of Davis
