I've read I think 45 books of this? Yeah. It was fun to read because the whole franchise has a comical way of narrating them that elementary kids will love. And because it's years ago, this is one of some of the books that I can actually remember. I think this is my most favorite because the graphics are awesome. And I think the racing is my next and the Christmas Catastrophe.
I just can't believe I had read a ton of books back then.
Pretty standard formatting for this series in some ways (Geronimo very reluctantly going on an adventure), but with some good information about Australia and specifically Aboriginal culture.
This book took me to Australia, the smallest of the seven continents, and a place where unique animals live. that's exactly where geronimo is headed, if you have been to Australia you can relate this book very well, with adventurous things and attacks like pulling a beehive .My favourite character is wolf gang wild paws because he is very strong. i think its very cool of geronimo's friend's to test him like that. it ould obviously seem scary but it shows that geronimo was brave at heart and mind. My favourite part is when Petunia pretty paws and her cousin jumping with parachutes to the rodent gazette because I thinking is pretty amazing and I hope to try it at least my life.
I think I will give 4 and half stars. I liked this book because it was so creative and there was alot of animals for example Geronimo was lost in the huge jungle and there was snakes, bees, koalas, lizards and kangaroos. I wil recommend this book to people who like animals, adventures and a little bit of scary.
G'day mate! Geronimo was off on a fabumouse adventure to ........ Australia! But between surfing with sharks, being chased by poisonous snakes and getting lost in the outback, I was beginning to wonder if this trip Down Under was really a good idea. Kangaroos and Koalas and Crocs, oh my! Would I ever see Mouse Island again?
This book is very funny ithink everyone will love it. I love this author as he writes the story like he is in the story. The started when Geronimo's friend when into his office suddenly and want him to go to australia with her and her cousin
My 7-year-old son loves Geronimo Stilton books so I had to read one to see what all the fuss was about. Well, no wonder he loves them. Down and Out Down Under was fun, witty, adventurous and charming. It was FABUMOUSE!!
Very interesting and fun novel. This book was a quick pacer. Read this in 40-50 minutes. The trip to Australia was very captivating. I love the little fun facts and info about Australia. A really funny story.
i like this book because it is super fun to read I also shared it for book club because it was so good I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't like as much as other books I have read.
This is the first of these I've ever read. A lot of good information told in a fun way. We are doing this as a read aloud to give the students an idea of Australia.
Geronimo is pulled along to Australia by Petunia and her brother, Wolfie. He has to stretch in order to be the mouse he thinks Petunia wants. (both have a crush on each other that the other doesn't know about)
Gobbled this up under an hour; I’m a sucker for anything Geronimo Stilton (anthropomorphic mice with rodent themed puns yes 10/10 very cute). I secretly hope in a parallel universe he is happily married to Petunia Pretty Paws.
I cringed a little when the book referred to colonizers as “immigrants from Europe”— but it was nice to see that the author called a spade a spade and wrote “the English began to colonize Australia”.
This book was funny and educating at the same time, and I enjoyed it. The book also teaches you life/survival skills in some of the chapters. The pictures and drawings are always an amazing add on to all of geronimos stories, especially this one. If you read the book, you may find out things about Australia that you never knew before.
