Chambers of Justice #5

The Last Judgment

Rate this book

As a happily married husband and proud father of a nine-year-old son, the last thing attorney Will Chambers wants on his hands is a religious apocalypse.

Will defends a Christian convert from Islam against charges of causing a religious riot. When the attorney next hears from his client, Gilead Amahn, the self-styled prophet is under arrest. The top of Jerusalem's Temple Mount has been bombed into rubble, and Amahn is accused of having incited—by his fiery street preaching—a terrorist cult to do it.

Now the lawyer must uncover both the evidence and the key truth about his client's "mission." And further, Will must also make a final judgment about his role as a husband, a father...and a man.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the Will Chambers books in this Chambers of Justice series. To be honest, I was hoping Craig Parshall was going to keep the series going longer than just five books. A number of other authors do just that. I’ll still read book number 6, but I’d grown attached (*LOL*) to the characters in this series to date.

I thought it was particularly clever the way the author pulled characters from other books - other former clients, individuals Will Chambers had defended and/or helped in some way - and “enlisted” them in the climax of the book. And, of course, I was rooting for all the “good guys” at the end.

Aw books

A wonderful ending to a great series!
This final book brings together characters from earlier books in the series to bring a dramatic climax the life of Will Chambers. Definitely worth reading all five books.

More Will Chambers please!

This five book series has truly kept my husband and me on the edge of our seats. Inspirational, intriguing, and electrifying. The characters in all of Craig Parshall’s books are so well developed that you feel like you know them personally.

A great series

I read the four book series about Will Chambers in just a couple of weeks. These are "ignore the housework and laundry" books! Wish there were a couple more to read! Craig Parshall has the gift of a great story in his pen!!

Excellent!

I enjoy this author's writings, and wasn't disappointed reading this book. So much truth to what was said, and much research went into it.

Well paced story. There’s never a dull moment in this action-packed legal/political thriller set in the volatile Middle East. A fitting end to the Chambers of Justice series.

It was another good book in the series, setting the venue in the International Tribunal. The ending was really weak; it's like the author just had to find a way to wrap up the series that didn't find the hero "riding off into the sunset," and it just doesn't work.

Last of the Chambers of Justice series, I felt that maybe it was the weakest. Maybe it was just the mood I was in while I read it, but it seemed to dray a little in the middle and was a bit too contrived.

This is the 5th & last book in the Chambers of Justice series, and I hate for it to end. I ended up buying the whole set to re-read again. Highly recommended.

Story enfolds in Italy, France, and England with WW2 and Nazi secrets. Not a fast read; the book really plods on. Still it is an interesting read about stolen paintings and the people involved.

The last of the Chambers of Justice Series.......what a marvelous story but all too believable in today's world of Middle Eastern conflict.

Good ending to the series! I definitely liked the international intrigue books best--this one tied everything together with Warren Mulburn and old friends who helped him with cases along the way.

Somewhat far fetched at times, but Parshall ties the whole series together neatly and gives some nice cameos to earlier characters.

This next installment in this series had me glued, as usual. Will Chambers is an amazing lawyer who works on amazing cases; cases that reverberate through time and world events. When things look the darkest, he pulls the proverbial rabbit out of the hat. I love it! I'm looking forward to more Will stories.
