Excellent and incredibly helpful to hear someone other than myself trying to grapple with the actualization of the biblical saints in the lives of present day believers. His way of expressing it is this: When Gregory parallels his life with Greek myth, it’s a metaphor; when he does so with scripture, it’s a metonymy. I’m interested to press his thoughts forward to see how Christ serves to undergird our participation in the lives of the saints.
